The very first Star Wars movie WAS called A New Hope. It's like all the other movies have another title, like Return of the Jedi, well this is Episode IV's title, it just is never really said since it was the first movie that came out and was advertised simply as Star Wars.

This song is titled A New Hope because the theatrical title of Star Wars: Episode IV was "Star Wars: A New Hope"

and the song is literally about Star Wars. no paralellism.

This song is soo good.
But even though it's him talking to a girl, I think even girls can relate to it, just make every he a she, and every Princes leia a Luke skywalker..but then it wouldn't be a blink song, too many syllables XD
or maybe not..oh well

As most of you'd said this song is about star wars... but if you want to go deeper is about a guy who is in love with a girl and when this girl was 'available' he didn't notice how cool she was. But now that she is with another guy he is sad and suffering and kicking his ass because he didn't realize what he was feeling before. "Every night I fall asleep with you, and I wake up alone" that verse is SOOOOOOO sweet.
I love blink! I love this song! OH GOD they rock!
