Can't Believe Alison's Disease
Fluorescent the store lights describe the End, and I can't forget it
Demons can return. He caught up with her.Murderous hands cripple her eyes and mind and I can't blink so...

Hail Defeat. It's reached everyone, plague generation, our last one.

The sun won't rise again not for Alison
That's what I see when I look in her eyes and i can't breathe so...

Hail Defeat. It's reached everyone, plague generation, our last one.

Maybe I can piece together five cold days in late december stories of a monster swallow in a snow-covered lake tahoe. Shining in a desperate despair...Alison was there...
A moment i can freeze but she can't be the same person she used to be...Alison is gone. Alison is gone. Alison is Gone.
And Alison resides on that frozen mountainside
That's What I see when I look in her Eyes
That's What I see when I look in her Eyes
That's What I see when I look in her Eyes
That's What I see when I look in her Eyes...

My Interpretation:Without a doubt one of their finest songs.

I think it is about getting AIDS from an abusive (on some level) boyfriend. How even if she escaped that relationsship she now realize that it convicted her and that it will change her forever as a result.

It fits with the "last generation" stuff too. A generation where the wrong choice in love can be a killer. That is what the song reminds me of the most.

General Comment:yes this song is about drug/alcohol abuse

the line "Fluorescent the store lights describe the End, and I can't forget it" to me joey cape is refferring to liquer store lights and how they remind him of her death cause it sounds like she must either Over Dosed or committed suicide probably in a cabin near lake tahoe or something.

Thats just how i see it, but i kinda relate songs to my personel experiences and it makes sence to me

General Comment:i used to have a friend named Allison but she went 'non-conformist', meaning she has to dress and act exactly the same way the other 'non-conformists' do and in doing so she has become a clone of every one of those kids she always used to refer to as posers.

General Comment:I'm pretty sure this song is about drug abuse.

Can't Believe Alison's Disease (He can't believe what has happened to Alison)

Fluorescent the store lights describe the End, and I can't forget it (Don't get this part)
Demons can return. He caught up with her.Murderous hands cripple her eyes and mind and I can't blink so... (Demons here would be like having skeletons in the closet. In this case it would be Alison doing drugs, and changing her personality.)

Hail Defeat. It's reached everyone, plague generation, our last one. (Drug abuse is a major problem in the U.S. Today Meth is the most abused drug here, but I'm not saying that has anything to do with meaning of the song.)

The sun won't rise again not for Alison
That's what I see when I look in her eyes and i can't breathe so... (He knows that Alison has become a victim of drug abuse, and there's no going back for her. If you've ever known someone who does actually abuse a drug, they really do become a different person, and you CAN see it in their eyes.)

(This is where and when Alison started abusing drugs.)

And Alison resides on that frozen mountainside
That's What I see when I look in her Eyes
That's What I see when I look in her Eyes
That's What I see when I look in her Eyes
That's What I see when I look in her Eyes... (I really like this part. When he looks at Alison he feels that the person he used to know is never coming back)

General Comment:i agree with kikujiro and ataridc alison's disease is definately drug abuse. the lines

"Fluorescent the store lights describe the End, and I can't forget it
Demons can return. He caught up with her.Murderous hands cripple her eyes and mind"

the word he caught up with her just means that the drugs have caught up with her and the murderous hands are the drug dealers that cripple her eyes to see what shes actually doing to her mind.

    "the sunwont rise again"
the sun being life giving and warming makes you think that alison hasnt got a life and shes cold, rite to her heart..ok enough blabbering...it's a good song all the same no matter how you interpret it!

General Comment:Yea, it's about drug abuse and how difficult it is to quit and how slowly the drug turns you into someone else or puts you in a place you can't get out of mentally or physically. (frozen mountainside)

General Comment:Well, you guys have good imaginations, but I think that it's about what many lagwagon songs are about: substance abuse, and how it can ruin friendships/relationships/lives.

General Comment:I think the key is in the title. To me this song has always been about the generational gaps. the "Disease" part of the title represents te attitudes and ideas of the youth, and people see youth as a disease to their lives. In the end Alison conforms and gives into demons which could be the conformity or simply the state of being grown up. When Alison finaly grew up, she was no longer the girl people like the singer of the song knew her to be. Other people could be right though.

General Comment:Ok, I think I have this song. I think that MyChemicalThursday is the most right. I think Alison used to be a normal person who got wildy possessed and is killing the person who is singing this. Isn't that cheery? "demons can return, he caught up with her" is like the devil taking over her mind. at first the guy can't believe it when he first sees alison(perhaps when she first attacks him) so hes like"and i can't blink so hail defeat"
"the sun won't rise again, not for alison" is like she will never be the same again and then"that's what i see in her eyes, but i can't breathe so" means that thats what he sees when he looks into her eyes as she is strangling him. very cheery.
then he thinks back "Maybe I can piece together five cold days in late december stories of a monster swallow in a snow-covered lake tahoe. Shining in a desperate despair...Alison was there..." means that someone died at Lake Tahoe, and Alison was there...."maybe someone close to her died, and she is wanting revenge"alison resides, on that frozen mountainside" is like now she can only think of what happened back then so she is determined to kill something to get vengeance.

General Comment:I agree with the idea that Allison has an abusive husband "He caught up with her.Murderous hands cripple her eyes and mind." I think that the only person that Allison killed was herself however. Walked out onto the frozen lake which can either be a metaphor or taken literally.
