    Song Meaning:First, it was originally done by Lauper. Orbison did a cover of it. Although the writer had Orbison in mind when trying to get a singer. Dion....well, let's just not talk about it.
    Second the song is a dark song about an insane guy describing the rape of his victim from his psychotic point of view.
    Which makes Lauper's version even more dark and haunting.

    General Comment:Never heard the Orbinson version unfortunately, though I'm a fan. I LOVE Lauper's version, it's sexy and spunky and always puts me in a funky, wonderful mood. Dion's version? Up to that point, I loved her even though she had a couple of misses musically. After hearing her butchering of this song, however, I'm of the opinion that she should be hamstrung. Then suspended by said hamstrings and beaten like a pinata until she agrees to personally collect and burn every copy of that fiasco that's out there, including the master copy & any MP3's, and the commercial that featured that atrocity. Proof that imitation's not always the sincerest form of flattery.

    Anyway, Lauper is a goddess, but we all know that already.

    General Comment:I think you need your ears syringed... shes added some corny dance music... her stupid twatty voice and killed it. It was perfect... and now... its tainted. I've just listened to it after reading that comment Jonesy... and now I feel like CRYING! Celine would tip a suicidal person over the edge... especially if they listened to her version of that song. HMPH. FUCKING WHORE.
