Rufio ruled. mtv would only ruin the most amazing emo band ever. I first saw these guys at an rxbandits/my new life/ the exit show, and they rocked the house. If only you'd been there for this song and above me, you would have known true pleasure.

rufio rock. and if they went public on MTV, it would suck.

but there's no need to include bands like NFG, STD and DBC with MTV and teeny boppers and being ruined. Cause that's all media bullshit.
ignore it, just like those little pop poseurs that like one video single or song and then go to the show ignoring everything and when the single comes on they pretend they love the band. it's horrible.

OMG you guys really just dont get it do you?
Speaking as an artist and for artists everywhere getting known is why we start to play music. Sure its for the music and the hardcore fans but hardcore fans arent going to pay the bills. If someone asked me if i would rather play small venues and make dirt or play huge shows and make money then the choice is obvious. People dont get into the biz to be startving artists. Ithink i can sum it up in what my bands drummer once said
"Im not going to listen to them
Were not gonna make it big

orange, i do agree with you... bands don't WANT to be starving artists...

BUT, by no means is Rufio a bunch of starving artists. They can still be awesome without being total sellouts and make loads of money at the same time, like they are doing. You can buy their CD anywhere, so obviously they aren't THAT bad off.

i love rufio no matter what. they are an awesome band and the only way i'm going to stop liking them is if they change thier music. fuck all of this "i'm too cool for the public" bullshit. it shouldn't matter as long as their music stays the same.

I just registered with this thing...JUST so that I could point out to you, Hagnail, about blink, you say that they changed their name from Blink, to Blink 182, just because the 182 was, I guess 'more trendy' in your mind. In all actuality, Blink had to change the name because the name was already in use by another name. By the way, Rufio rocks. Peace.

I agree with Acid, but also, I think that if the band members of Rufio say these posts, they'd be quite pissed off. Leave the selling out bullshit to the band. They don't need you telling them who they are! Also, this site is called SONGMEANINGS.net...do you see the significance in the name? Hopefully you do.

Forgot to mention a few things. Sorry all for the post pumping, but I can't edit my post and add this in. Blink went by blink, then they got threats for a lawsuit from a little Irish band with the same name. So the 182. That came in from the number of times the word F*ck was said in one of the members' favorite movies. I think it was Scott, and I'm not sure what movie, but the rest is all factual. =D Anyways, I'm glad to be on the crew now, guys. Rufio still r0x0rz. - Out

you're afraid of them becoming less "real" by them becoming big. It's also a sort of possessiveness, isn't it? it feels more special in a way when just you and a couple friends know of some kick ass band, and no one else....anyway this is my favorite song from them, gotta love it! it's pretty self-explanitory, I think.

i think bands can be on mtv and radio and everything as long as they dont sell out. like i think sum41 are sell outs. they were a good band but not anymore. green day is an example of a band that was popular but didnt sell out. they never changed y or how they wrote their songs and they are still producing the same quality songs today as they were whe they started. but i wanna know if their next cd is gonna be as good as this one is. i just can't wait til i see rufio live! they're gonna be awsome!

i love rufio and i totally agree alot of you...alot of bands that make it big will change their sound or their how they act or what they stand for to gain more popularity. i wish the best for rufio and all the othre bands that i like and i know change is almost inevitable, but there are definately a few mainstream bands that i still like, even though underground is soooo much better. it just has truth!

For real if rufio got played on MTV then it would totally suck @$$.A new found glory and blink are cool but once they get played on MTV all those preppy wannabes think they are the BIGGEST fans.Rufio is AWESOME but to put them on MTV would suck @$$.

Yeah, have you ever been to a show because you like the band only to have a bunch of wannabes there and ruin for you? That happened at saves the day because the bastards liked one song and killed the fun for everyone else who had been longtime fans. MTV totally kills good shows.

this song is awesome...but i hate how people think that once bands like rufio become "MTV" that they suck...who said you have to ruin it for yourself just cause you think teeny boppers or whatever ruin it for you?...it's all about the MUSIC...just cause bands get big does it mean their music still sucks? it's just like saying, "oh, man, rufio is on MTV. their music sucks ass now!"...i don't get why people make such a big deal about this crap...it's about the MUSIC...the music is beautiful and it has meaning...why be selfish? share it...who cares about other people...it's not even about that

just because bands get big doesnt mean they suck. i know that it is a weird pattern that happens to about 80% of bands...but not all, but, who cares..if you like a band..you like them..if you dont, you dont. the only people you should be mad at though is the band if anything. they are the ones who change their music and start to suck because of some odd reasons...which no one will ever know. its not the little retards' faults. they are just musically challenged or sumthin..lol..yah..this is a good song by rufio.

OMG! I totally love this song so much! It is by fare one of my all time favorite songs that Rufio sings. I just think so much of this song. it has a great instrumental and it has great lyrics along with that. That's just wut Rufio gives us to listen to. Every single one of their songs is just so great. At least I think so! I bet that they really kick butt in concert! I love Rufio so mucha nd I think that they got some of the best EMO out there today. Just give this band some time and how mush do u bet that they will become very popular becasue they are jsut so good! I think if you like Rufio in which is my second favorite all time band you'll like Juliana Thoery which is my 3rd and of corse YELLOWCARD! is my first. Rufio just rocks and I love all their music to death! HeHe!:)

Look, if it wasn't for MTV i wouldn't have discovered DASHBOARD...what's wrong with bands trying to get PUBLICITY...hey, if the music is quality, that's ALL that matters...music is a personal experience, not a secret...anyways, i would pay as much as it takes to see RUFIO, even if i have to stand next to some chick who is there because she saw them w/Carson Daily...that's a TRUE fan...get over it, cuz Rufio's WORTH IT!

Rufio, Rufio, Rufio, what can you say about them except that they kick ass. This is my favorite rufio song, i just love the beat to it and the lyrics are kinda sad, i used to always skip this song when i listened to the cd but then i payed more attention to the lyrics and i realized that this song is totally written about one of my friends, and once i realized that it just had a whole new meaning to it and i fell in love with it, now i listen to it 24/7. My fiend was going out with this guy for 7 years and then he cheated on her cause he was drunk and he kissed another girl at a party and so they broke up and she was really hurt and felt alone for a long time, but now their back together, all i know is that he better treat her right. I love this song.

ahh potato person i agree wit u soo fuckin much! i really like love NFG but like mtv ruined "my friends over you" like it pisses me off that ever time i turn on the fuckin tv that video is on mtv2's "control freak" and wut the hell? wut was the point of making MTV2? like wut was the big deal about it? it plays fuckin pop n rap shit all day and then likeat 1 in the morning they put on the good stuff? why the hell shud we have to wait till then?... but then i guess thats why all theses bands are "well kept secrets" yeah i deff think its better noing bout a great band then havin to share wit da rest of the wrld
