Ain't no sunshine when she's gone
It's not warm when she's away
Ain't no sunshine when she's gone
And she's always gone too long
Anytime she goes away

Wonder this time where she's gone
Wonder if she's gone to stay
Ain't no sunshine when she's gone
And this house just ain't no home
Anytime she goes away

And I know, I know, I know, I know,
I know, I know, I know, I know, I know,
I know, I know, I know, I know, I know,
I know, I know, I know, I know, I know,
I know, I know, I know, I know, I know,
I know, I know,
Hey, I oughtta leave young thing alone
But ain't no sunshine when she's gone

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone
Only darkness every day
Ain't no sunshine when she's gone
And this house just ain't no home
Anytime she goes away
Anytime she goes away
Anytime she goes away
Anytime she goes away

General Comment:An older man I had been seeing sent me this song via youtube. I don't see how it is about drugs. So LSD is a young thing? LOL

General Comment:its actually about an LSD addict and Orang Sunshine is a type of LCD, and the double meaning is without the "sunshine" there is no sunshine, or happiness, its about an LSD dealer leaving town and no one being able to score.

General Comment:The first time I heard this song was on a commercial for the Dante's Inferno game. I have to say that I was planning on getting it anyway, but the song fit the story so well that I had to look it up and listen to it about 20 times. Great song.

General Comment:Perhaps someone already fixed it, but these lyrics perfectly match the version of the song which is just over two minutes. This version is the original (from the album Just As I Am) and is found on any number of albums.

General Comment:This song is about an older guy in love with a younger girl and how bittersweet it makes him feel. He aches for her when she's not around, but at the same time he knows she's too young and the relationship can only bring him heartache.

General Comment:The lyrics are almost spot on. I have a remixed more 'dub' version of the song. Perhaps that's where the mix-up in the lyrics is coming from?

The version I have is 3:43 long and the lyrics are:

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone
It’s not warm when she's away
Ain't no sunshine when she's gone
And she always gone too long
    Anytime she goes away

Wonder this time where she’s gone
Wonder if she's gone to stay
Ain't no sunshine when she's gone
and this house just ain't no home
    Anytime she goes away

    I know (repeat)

Hey I oughtta leave that young thing alone
But ain't no sunshine when she's gone
    Only darkness everyday
Ain't no sunshine when she’s gone
And this house just ain't no home
    Anytime she goes away

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone
It’s not warm when she's away
Ain't no sunshine when she's gone
And she always gone too long
    Anytime she goes away
    (I know, I know, I know, I know, I know)
    Anytime she goes away
    (I know, I know, I know, I know, I know)
    Anytime she goes away
    (I know, I know, I know, I know, I know)
    Anytime she goes away

    [To fade...]
