Nobody gonna take my car, I'm gonna race it to the ground
Nobody gonna beat my car, it's gonna break the speed of sound
Ooh it's a killing machine, it's got everything
Like a drawing power big fat tires everything

I love it, and I need it, I bleed it
Yeah it's a wild hurricane
Alright, hold tight. I'm a highway star

Nobody gonna take my girl I'm gonna keep her to the end
Nobody gonna have my girl she stays close on every bend
Ooh she's a killing machine she's got everything
Like a moving mouth, body control and everything

I love her, I need her, I seed her
Yeah she turns me on
Alright, hold tight, I'm a highway star

Nobody gonna take my head, I got speed inside my brain
Nobody gonna steal my head, now that I'm on the road again
Ooh I'm in heaven again, I've got everything
Like a moving ground, throttle control and everything

I love it, I need it, I seed it
Eight cylinders all mine
Alright hold tight, I'm a highway star

Nobody gonna take my car

I'm a highway star, I'm a highway star

General Comment:Best opening song ever, it really gets you Rockin', The "made in Japan" version is my favorite. Made in Japan & Zeppelin's "The song remains the same" are the 2 best live albums ever (My opinion only of coarse).

General Comment:It's about being high as a kite while driving fast. His girl is there, high as well, and all he's thinking about is more, faster, better. He's just aimlessly driving, behaving recklessly. Try putting the song on when you're flying down the road, imagine what the song would sound like if you were messed up (don't actually drive messed up). You'll understand then.

General Comment:I think his girl is separate from his car, but he's so obsessed with his car that he describes her along the same means as how he does his car (i.e., her parts/features). But she's a cool chick because she's right there with him in the passenger seat when he's screaming through those corners.

But "I seed her?" I hope it's not a literal interpretation. Does that mean she's having his kid? :) Because in the next verse he "seeds" his head ... o_O

General Comment:featured in rock band... the solo is enhanced by the driving dangerously close to a cliff while the band plays on the roof!

General Comment:The chorus is awesome. Yeah I'm kinda thinking maybe the whole song is about his car? As in, his car IS his girl, and his car IS his mind.

    Nobody gonna have my girl
She stays close on every bend
    Oooh she's a killing machine

Yeah that's just what I think.

General Comment:and of couse... how can i forget about the solo. Ritchie Blackmore said once in an interview that most of his solos came out as an improvisation but this was an exception.. and he really likes the middle section.

His best ever solo next to "Child in Time", "Stargazer" & "Gates of Babylon".
    Simply phenomenol !!!!!!!
