Deep inside the silence staring out upon the sea
The waves are washing over half forgotten memory
Deep within the moment laughter floats upon the breeze
Rising and falling dying down within me
And I swear I never knew, I never knew how it could be
And all this time all I had inside was what I couldn't see
I swear I never knew, I never knew how could be
All the waves are washing over all that hurts inside of me
Beyond this beautiful horizon lies a dream for you and I
This tranquil scene is still unbroken by the rumors in the sky
But there's a storm closing in voices crying on the wind
The serenade is growing colder breaks my soul that tries to sing
And there's so many many thoughts when I try to go to sleep
But with you I start to feel a sort of temporary peace
There's a drift in and out
Drift in and out
Drift

    My Interpretation:continuing the album line..
in this one the main character is dying.. trapped by the weaves of the sea...

like the full anathema songs.. you can interpret the songs as you want, I love this song and I think is beauty and can be sung to a beloved girl (or boy)

But I really feel that the album is a full story and this one put the end after that the spoken part
    1st voice
Not being able speak was just fears day and night ..
Building blocks and accidental stepping stones, irrelevant undercurrents, spiders with no control, crabs performing stunts, fish on the game, disgusting waves of doom, bombastic, bombastic invisible anti night…incredible fucking awful shit stirrers, death plays….

    2nd voice

    I know – I’m here
what about dogs, what about cats, what about what about chickens, what about dogs and what about chickens.

    1st voice again
There you go, I can’t believe you just done this…….how many have you got left? ..whose coming with me? What is he saying. He’s going in, I knew this was going to happen, did anyone bring a torch? Stop and ask for directions. Better go after her, fucking hell she’s strong. Everything will be alright, I need to get up and get out of here. Stuff that would never happened, do you have to do that? ….

General Comment:I think the end result of the lyric is simply the serenity, temporary though it is, of drifting into peaceful sleep next to a loved one, who may or may not be a lover, but in this context seems to be. At the end of a hard and soul-raping day, there is little else that soothes and makes the endurance worthwhile than falling into this temporary sweet oblivion with someone with whom you share a deep and precious connection.

General Comment:To me this song seams to sum up the album with the [apparent] suicide of the main character.

He is surrendering himself to the sea, and all the lyrics really just sound like the final thoughts of a man who is about to die.

Whether he actually commits suicide is anyone's guess, but the hidden track seems to suggest that he doesn't go through with it.

General Comment:To me this is not supposed to be sad.. The tale is about all the rough times (caused by alcoholism perhaps: Dumachum). But anyhow.. The beautiful horizon is the relief. The better times, like a sweet and tender girl?

General Comment:This song reminds me of the album cover, like he's picked this day to leave behind this pathetic facade of a life and goes to the beach on a whim.

And as the world is going to shit all around him the beauty of this place is still intact and with this woman he's with (who I asume the female voice is supposed to be) he gets this fleeting feeling of comfort, which trancends every other pursuit he's abandoned.
