She's comin over we'll go out walking make a call on the way she's in the phone booth I'm looking in there comes a smile on her face there's still some the same stuff we got yesterday there's still some the same stuff we got yesterday I'm too much with myself I wanna be someone else I'm too much with myself I wanna be someone else so we take off out Fiona's door walk untill it's light outside like before when you were on the phone we have to laugh to look at each other we have to laugh cause we're not alone as the cars fly up King Street it's enough to startle us it's enough to startle us I love my drug buddy my drug my drug buddy I love my drug buddy my drug my drug buddy

i've also always loved this part: "we have to laugh to look at each other. we have to laugh cause we're not alone." -- i like they they actually have to laugh. i'm pretty sure i've been in this situation before. not sure i should be admitting that.
also, love this: "i'm too much with myself, i wanna be someone else. i'm too much with myself, i wanna be someone else." -- it makes sense in many ways with actual regards to the song... various form of escapism, to escape yourself for a little while. i like it more in a general way though, doesn't need to be in context. it's very applicable to my life.
lastly, i just love an evan and juliana duet. they both have such distinct, beautiful voices.
Check out the acoustic radio version Evan and Juliana did.
It's about scoring drugs on King Street in Newtown (suburb of Sydney).
I have no evidence that they aren't singing about King St in Newtown, I just think that it's not very likely.
You are dead right about the name change though. It's listed as "Drug Buddy" on my copy of Shame About Ray.
