This song, is one of the better, and newer songs out. Its a shame its only a bonus track, but it still kicks serious ass. As far as the meaning goes, just read the lyrics its not that deep, like most misfits songs.

hey, if someone likes the new misfits, than thats their opinion. Personally, I love the old misfits better, but the version with Michale Graves isn't that bad. So, berfore you say FUCK THE NEWFITS or anything, keep in mind some people may jsut like them.

This is a great song. I love the harmonys and of course the sense of doom portrayed through all these lyrics.
I guess you could take a literal meaning of these words, that we have actually broken something, and now we are "fucked".
The meanings could even lie deeper,into religion. Not opening is never knowing, so why deny knowledge?

As it is with most Misfits' songs, the meaning is pretty straight forward. It's about man tampering with the fabric of reality, or the genome, etc. and creating something that ends the world. I personally think it refers to opening a gate to hell, a la "Ultimate DOOM;" but that's just me.

Well, I personally feel that this songs is about what a large number of Misfits songs are about, and old movie. If anyone is familiar with the Planet of the Apes movie, you'll notice that the phrase "Don't open 'til Doomsday, you may not like what you find" is very similar to a quote from the end of the first movie where Col. Taylor wonders about the history of the ape/human questions, Zaius tells him "Don't look for it Taylor, you may not like what you find." Also, the song seems like it could reference the events of the other three movies, especially Beneath the Planet of the Apes, in which the mutated humans have worship the Alpha-Omega device, a leftover nuclear device with the power to destroy the entire planet..

Specific Lyrical References:
"Buried beneath the statue the answer lies"
Could be referencing the appearence of the Statue of Liberty in the end of the Planet of the Apes, and how it represents the answer to Taylor's question about the history of apes and man.

"We were warned of this coming so long ago
Immortal secrets... man shouldn't know
Entering a realm where we just don't belong"
This seems to reference the "Forbidden Zone" and the immortal secret, which is the truth about man and apes history.

Lol chat boards are funny lol, but with the misfits its all good with or without Danzig, it's Danzigs faukt he went on to do more unsuccesful things such as "Samhain & Danzig" neither got nowhere near as famous as The Misfits, and i think that one dude was right about the planet of the apes reference most Misfit songs are about movies, and to all Graves Era fans out there in April,2008 Graves said if Jerry Only were to ask he'd go back with the Misfits so everyone put that reunion in your prayers cuz that'd be badass
