She can't stop pacing, she never felt so alive
Her thoughts are racing, set on overdrive
It takes a village, this she knows is true
They're expecting her and she's got work to do

He helplessly stands by
It's meaningless to try
As he rubs his red-rimmed eyes
He says, I've never seen her get this bad

Even though she seems so high
He knows that she can't fly
And when she falls out of the sky
He'll be standing by

She was raised in a small Midwestern town
By a charming and eccentric loving father
She was praised as the perfect teenage girl
And everyone thought highly of her

And she tried everyday
With endless drive to make the grade
Then one day she woke up to find
The perfect girl had lost her mind

Once barely taking a break, now she sleeps the days away
She helplessly stands by, it's meaningless to try
And all she wants to do is cry
No one ever knew she was so sad

'Cause even though she gets so high
And thinks that she can fly, she will fall out of the sky
But in the face of misery, she found hopefulness
Feeling better, she had weathered this depression

Much to her advantage
She resumed her frantic pace
Boundless power, midnight hour
She enjoyed the race

General Comment:It's pretty interesting how everyone assumes Bipolar when that isn't the only disorder that could fit this song. Borderline Personality Disorder, anyone? Others too, I'm sure.

General Comment:handsdown to this band, 6 degrees of inner turbulence is the album which shows their musical genius not only on Metropolis part.2 and Train and Thougth.

General Comment:Six Degrees is probably tied with Scenes from a Memory as far as my favorite album goes.

This song reminds me of one of my friends who has bipolar disorder. She's not exactly what everyone would call a 'perfect teenage girl' but she's one of the nicest people I've ever met. But sometimes, she'll get really angry for little to no reason then be all happy and funny again the next time we meet like whatever ruined her day never happened.

There are a lot of DT dongs I feel I can relate to, but sometimes I just kind of think it might be the vagueness of it all. However, this one definately describes her.

General Comment:I don't think it's a phone ring. I can definately hear something. Maybe a really distorted scream, or the breakes of a car.

General Comment:Hmm not really, Biaxident reminds me of Final Fantasy 7 Aerith theme, but yeah, but this song doesn't describe you people to a T, it's pretty close for a lot of people, but it is about manic depression, or bi-polar syndrome, which causes quick changes of chemicals in the brain changing mood. The father is the one who has to watch this girl go through all this, and he sits back and feels he can't help. She then of course as the lyrics state, comes back out of depression, then back in, much like people with bi-polar syndrome.
