Touched,
You say that I am too,
So much,
Of what you say is true,

I'll never find someone quite like you,
Again,
I'll never find someone quite like you,
Like You,

The razors and the dying roses,
Plead I don't leave you alone,
The demi-gods and hungry ghosts,
God, god knows I'm not at home,

I'll never find someone quite like you,
Again,
I'll never find someone quite like you,
Again,

I looked into your eyes and
Saw a world that does not exist,
I looked into your eyes and,
Saw a world I wish I was in,

I'll never find someone quite as touched as you
I'll never love someone quite the way that I loved you.

I first heard this song when I caught the video. The music, lyrics and the video were simply haunting. Having fallen in love with someone I could not hold onto who passed through my life all too quickly, I felt like the song could have been written for me. For myself, emotionally, the song was simply devastating.

I love this song sooooo much! I first heard it when I had just fallen in love for the first time. Its been 2 years now and I still love her as much as I did that day. This song still reminds me of her. The mix between heavy music and loving lyrics makes me shudder it so good! WELL DONE JON!

That really takes audacity to compare Jon's work to shit like Evanescence.

I think it's just a beautiful song altogether - the lyrics and the background music and his voice!

this is a beautiful song. it makes you think, if you will ever find anyone. its song brings me down. how he says he looks into your eyes and say a world that doen't exist. and he wishes he was in. its like me. how i like a girl so much, but... she doesn't like me. thats the meaning of the song to me.

My more-than-friend just told me that this song makes her think of me. She had me download it, but I couldn't understand the lyrics exactly. Now I'm glad I looked them up. sigh

This is an amazing song. It's so dynamic, and all the elements just fit so well together. The lyrics, and the music, and choir in the background are just, as someone above me said, insane. It's such a hauntingly beautiful song, and I feel the same way about it today as I felt when I heard it two years ago. Especially when, at that time, my best friend, someone I loved beyond all belief, had left me. We're friends again now, but this song still gets me every time.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
