    My Opinion:This topic i kind of old but its my first time seeing it so i will comment on it. Ok I am not going to discuss what the meaning of this song is about. I have my own opinion of what it is about and since the as far as i know the artist has not directly stated what the song is about himself even though the song is very suggestive to one thing. What I am going to talk about is someone mentioned "look at the video". That the video should represent what the song is about. This is so obviously not true. Steven Tyler obviously could not make a video with him flashing vagina's all over the place. For one example look at Olivia Newton John's song physical. The video somewhat coincides with the words of the song you know "lets get physical" and the video showing people working out in a gym but obviously is not what the song is about. It is about things of a sexual nature as so stated by the artist herself as well as the artist states you can not show a video of people "getting physical". Most artist in the music industry want to sell their work to as many people as they can and so when they are talking of things of a sexual nature they often have to use innuendo and be less direct with meaning of their words and videos. As it is with many other things such as drugs or violence. There are so many examples of this and not just now and not just in music.

    General Comment:This discussion is amusing. Anyone who thinks this song is about anything BUT female genitalia has alot to learn, mainly that Steven Tyler is the god of sexual innuendos. And that him and Joe Perry are the living embodiments of the phrase "Sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll."

    General Comment:Some say the song is about pussy which is possible but I view it as he likes girls that are "out there". the color pink is just one of those weird but neat colors and I think what he is saying is he doesnt want just some average girl. He wants a fun, spontaneous kinda girl. Just my views. =P

    My Interpretation:Steven Tyler was not too clear of the meaning of this song as his lyrics are fairly ambiguous. To claim that the song is simply about pussy would be a superficial and inaccurate interpretation.

    For example - "Pink - it's my new obsession"

    I seriously doubt that pussy is Tyler's "NEW" obsession unless he was gay up until the time he wrote this song. I think we can safely eliminate Steven Tyler being gay although I wouldn't eliminate bisexuality given the video to this song.

    or - "I wanna wrap you in rubber"

    Generally, you don't wrap pussy in rubber but hey, I'm sure somebody somewhere does it.

    With that being said, Tyler does sing:

    "Pink - on the lips of your lover"
    "Pink - as the bing on your cherry"

    These lyrics could be interpreted as referring to pussy but I don't think they sum up the whole song or the meaning of the song.

    Since Tyler was not completely clear in his lyrics as to what the hell he was talking about why don't we look at the video as we can safely bet that the video was made to somewhat correspond with the meaning of the song. Generally, that's what videos do. The video shows all different types of people who are portraying different sexual fetishes/preferences. Why would Tyler have a video showing this if his song is just about pussy? Doesn't make any sense, does it? He would've probably said to the director, "Hey dumb-ass, what the hell is this crap? This is not what my song is about, let's try it again." Guess what? He didn't do that.

    So what is the song about? Consider the video and these lyrics:

    "Pink - it's the color of passion
    Ah, 'cause today it just goes with the fashion"

    "And I think everything is going to be all right
    No matter what we do tonight"

    And consider the fact that Tyler (and Perry and other band members) show up in the video in many different forms.

    Pink - as indicated in the song - represents different things to different people. Pink is basically your passion for whatever and whoever you like in terms of sexual preference/fetish. If it makes you feel good then get after it. Of course, this brings into question Tyler's sexual preferences and suggests that he has a varied and enormous appetite for more than just, you guessed it, pussy.

    General Comment:omg I used to love this song when I was like 9 'cause pink was (and is) my favorite color, so I was like aww a song about pink, how cute ! and now reading the comments I'm like omg now I get it lol idk if it was steven who wrote this song but whoever wrote it is a total genious , the real meaning is so well covered specially for someone who really is obsessed with pink lol
