    General Comment:I will put it like this. They are best frinds. He loves her but she doesn't know it. When he is with her he is happy. When she is not with anyone he's happy. Careful where you stand, I believe comes from his own good feeling turning on him if she finds someone other than him. He is not in her eyes. Young man with blue balls thats for sure.

    I think that in this part he/she is admitting that he/she knows that being with her/him makes him/her feel wrong, so he/she asks her/him please to let him/her go, but this part of him/her isn´t as strong as the part that wants to be with her/him

    In my opinion this song is about someone (why not a girl? ) in love with a guy, but he is not sure about his feelings for her. So the girl feel safe with him, because she likes to be with him.

    I think that she is telling the situation, how she feels and while she is doing she realizes she is not allright.. If you read the lyrics you will see that at first it saids "I´m allright, I´m allright.. and the I´m allright and then nothing" I think that she is asking herself if she wants to continue that way and by thinking about it she realizes that she is not allright.. so she is saying "Carefull where you stand"

    General Comment:I think its about someone who is in love with his friend but cant be with her and he wants to say this to her. It may be their too good of friends or she doesnt feel the same. Its such an amazing song lyrically

    General Comment:I've never thought of this as a sad song! It reminds me of how I feel with my best friend (who is a guy) - I feel safe, I feel warm - every lyric fits how he makes me happy. There are no romantic feelings whatsoever, but this fits perfectly. The bit about quiet time for me reflects how he's the only person I can be with and perfectly understand without having to speak, which is great because I hate having to word what I'm trying to say correctly.

    Undoubtedly an amazing song. But then it is by Coldplay, so what did I expect?

    General Comment:This song is perfect for my situation the way I see it. He found the person he feels he's meant to be with and is afraid she's going to hurt him (careful where you stand) He wants a quiet time because he's anticipating being alone. Most people will distance themselves on at least a subconscious level when they're afraid they're going to lose someone.

    General Comment:oh and i think the "i like a quiet time, please" part is just describing that this girl is someone he can just totally relax with. they don't have to constantly be talking or doing something because they enjoy eachothers company anyway. :D

    General Comment:Great, unique song...so many coldplay songs capture emotions that I've always wanted to express through music (but they beat me to it).

    This'un's 'bout a childlike attachment to someone you love. His love is the equivalent of a security blanket, an innate childlike clinging that we can all relate to.
