There's a song that's inside of my soul
It's the one that I've tried to write over and over again
I'm awake in the infinite cold
But you sing to me over and over and over again
So I lay my head back down
And I lift my hands and
pray to be only yours
I pray to be only yours
I know now your my only hope
Sing to me the song of the stars
Of your galaxy dancing and
laughing and laughing again
Well it feels like my dreams are so far
Sing to me of the plans that you have for me over again
And I lay my head back down
And I lift my hands and
pray to be only yours
I pray to be only yours
I know now your my only hope
I'd give you my destiny
I'm giving you all of me
I want your symphony
Singing in all I am
At the top of my lungs
I'm giving back
So I lay my head back down
And I lift my hands and
pray to be only yours
I pray to be only yours
I pray to be only yours
I know now your my only hope
Mmmmm Mmmmmm
Oooooooooooo

I read the book twilight in 2007 in which I placed this guy as Edward in my head, not even remembering the dream I had four years ago. I also began to remember this song that I couldn't place, but I knew I had heard before.
About a month later, I was reading one of my friend's stories online, and I had begged her to make me one of the characters, as a joke she made me a guy and posted the exact picture that I saw in my head four years earlier as what the character looked like.
This man, she told me, was Henry Cavill. (a famous model and actor in England)
Would someone please explain to me why a fifth grader would be having visions of some famous guy she'd never seen before!
I don't remember exactly how I did it, but all the words came together in my head to the song, and I was able to find it. I still don't know why I keep seeing this guy and hearing this song, but I every once in a while I'll find another piece to the puzzle. Recently a series of numbers led me to a tutorial on youtube of how to play the song on the piano (which I've been wanting to do forever now) and each note I learn is like strumming my heart, and I don't know why. Sorry, really long comment, it was bothering me.
To me the song puts together a few concepts. It could be taken to mean that God is her only hope, as she is a deeply religeos girl in the movie. However, it is part of the play in the movie, in which context it means that this bar owner is her only hope for the big time. Yet another context is that of her liking Shane in the movie, and in that is is a romantic song.
Anyway, brilliant song, very well sung. 9/10
mike yr 10 I think you're right..
This is just so simple and beautiful. This brings me to tears, and so does the movie.
This might be one of the best songs ever to me.
mandy has the most purest voice. gorgeous.
now to the point this song inspires me to be betta than I am in a way. It makes me feel like nothing is ever out of my reach so after a day you'd like to forget this reminds me that all is never lost
