i think it is a song about a relationship based on love-and-hate feelings but that, at the end of the days turns out to be what she wants "i need to taste you more"
i believe she says the "once in a lifetime" is that she finally found her soulmate and is enjoying his company so much, she has just found "a part of me that's a mystery"
