This is the accent of the half hearted land
Does it all make sense now
And if the ship was built in bottled sand
Does it all make sense now

The anchors kiss was scrawled
In dyslexic crayon
Yes it all makes sense now
Is this just a life preserver

Of a bivouac tenure
The tropic of cancer answered
Drink the quicksand
A mirror was splintered on the deck floor

Does it all make sense now
A stowaway that lived beneath this hull
Does it all make sense now
The anchors kiss was scrawled

In dyslexic crayon
Yes it all makes sense now
Is this just a life preserver
Or bivouac tenure

This tropic of cancer answered;
Drink the quicksand
It's gills will swim faster after a branch
From the shore

Breathe the taste of salt water
Dry heave up and overboard
Ponce De Leon wrinkles
Let's make it young again

Boat drinks for captains
Row our boat away stowaway
It all makes sense now
If our map was torn navigate, navigate

If your compass broke navigate, navigate

    My Interpretation

I see this song about being a child (adopted?) to parents that don't care, and the journey to escape it. Easily could just be about escaping any situation or feeling that you are being held back by someone.

This is the accent of the half hearted land //A place that doesn't care about you And if the ship was built in bottled sand //You're trapped

The anchors kiss was scrawled //Held back by your placement In dyslexic crayon //A young child

Is this just a life preserver //Is this place really here to help you

Or a bivouac tenure //Or is your placement temporary The tropic of cancer answered Drink the quicksand //Youre forced to be stuck here A mirror was splintered on the deck floor //Bad luck

A stowaway that lived beneath this hull //Treated like you don't belong

It's gills will swim faster after a branch //Once you get out of here, you'll thrive From the shore

Breathe the taste of salt water //Taste of freedom Dry heave up and overboard //It will be a difficult journey Ponce De Leon wrinkles Let's make it young again //Start over fresh

Boat drinks for captains //Thanks to those that help you escape Row our boat away stowaway //Don't look back, wish you well

If our map was torn navigate, navigate //No matter what setbacks you face, you must try to make it If your compass broke navigate, navigate

i'm not quite sure what this entire song means....but near then end i get the feeling thats its about just living your life as it comes, instead of trying to control everything.

"if our map is torn, navigate navigate. if your compass broke, navigate, navigate."

i think the song is just saying that life won't always have a direction manual...and sometimes you just have to "navigate"

yeah, that makes sense, take life as it comes, and you cant control your life really becoz you only have one choice each time, and you often have to make it in a split second. so basically dont worry about what you will happen, just take fings as they r

ok, this is about car crash. during one of their performances Cedric said:

"just recent when we almost crashed our van, and a, am, this song kindda has an enbodymend of what just happened on that evening, on the way from Sterling Colorado to Denver Colorado, and when we flipped our van , oh, differend thoughts went to our heads, weather we should even continue touring on those... days, and .. broke on Tony's back and (smth had happend), and that was the only thing that happened, and it kindda make me wonder, and what it makes me wonder is, does it all make sense now?"

While it about their van crashing and the hard times touring, he was comparing it to Ponce de Leon's quest for the fountain of youth. "Drink the quicksand" refers to how de Leon was searching in vein and rather than drinking from the fountain of youth, he was drinking quicksand. "Ket's make it young again", fountain of youth refrence again. "if our map was torn, navigate, navigate if your compass broke, navigate, navigate", refers to searching and never giving up. "ponce de leon wrinkles" how he is getting older trying to find it. You guys need to take some history lessons, how could you miss it ;D

Well if not history, at least do some research, I researched it and you can tell that most of ATDI and Spartas songs are about history.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
