We suffer everyday
What is it for
These crams of illusion
Are fooling us all
And now I am wearie
And I feel like I do

It's only you
Who can tell me apart
And it's only you
Who can turn my wooden heart

The size of our fight
It's just a dream
We've cruched everything
I can't see in this morning selfishly
How we fell
And I feel like I do

It's only you
Who can tell me apart
And it's only you
Who can turn my wooden heart

Now that we've chosen to take all we can
The shade of autumn will stare bitter end
Years of frustration laid down side by side

And It's only you
Who can tell me apart
And it's only you
Who can turn my wooden heart

It's only you
Who can tell me apart
And it's only you
Who can turn my wooden heart

General Comment:I beleive she is warning/illuminating/identifying with - the fact that the reins of direction in the world have been passed to those behind a veil of secrecy in which the goals are to confuse and keep blind the masses. Keeping everyone in a submissive state ignorant of any truth of who we really are and what their true agenda is. We have failed to recognized this illusion. "Its only you", could refer to a spiritual/deep/aware state of conciousness which she experiances. To be told apart from the ignorant masses and be recognized through an indepentant state of being.

General Comment:It seems to me this song is about a society in a country that people are trying to change for the better, but its a difficult struggle. It also seems like she loves her country ("its only you who can tell me apart, its only you who can turn my wooden heart") but things could be better, and its because she loves her country that she, and other people, want to fix problems.

Of course, I haven't seen the video..so I could be off base.

General Comment:oh I should also add... the "illusions" part, is it maybe referring to the fact that there's so much illusion in our consumer society? or maybe I'm reading far too much into it: because the video may be referring to these things, but the song seems to refer to a troubled relationship... though perhaps only on the surface.

General Comment:This song is chilling, and the video for it equally chilling... after reading RLhockey's comment the video actually made more sense to me, the boy being a symbol of innocence and a puppet in a police state; the fact that he's underwater, holding his breath, really makes you feel that suffocation... a lot of symbolism in this video (the dove flying to the moon... the creepy men in the watchtower)... really interesting, the song has a lot more depth for me now that I have seen the video.
