The 28th day
She'll be bleeding again
And in lupine ways
We'll alleviate the pain
Unholy water
Sanguine addiction
Those silver bullets
A last blood benediction
It is her moon time
When there's iron in the air
A rusted essence
Woman may I know you're there
Hey wolf moon
Come cast your spell on me
Hey wolf moon
Come cast your spell on me
Don't spill a drop dear
Let me kiss the curse away
Yourself in my mouth
Will you leave me with your taste?
Beware
The woods at night
Beware
The lunar light
So in this gray haze
We'll be meating again
And on that great day
I will tease you all the same

In many wiccan red magic spells, menstural blood is used by women in love potions, which when ingested by the man they desire causes him to fall completely and eternally in love with her. Especially relevant giving the over all gothic appeal of this song, and if we think of the Wolf Moon as being symbolic of the egg lost each period, rather than an actual physical moon
More power to ya Esenthial.
Splitnag, it's actually copper you probably smell.
R.I.P. Peter Steele
I do agree that this song is creepy, erotic, seductive and gross--all at once.
I think this is a beautifully sensual song. I've since come to just see the werewolf elements as just being metaphorical for the empowerment a man recieves from sexually gratifying his lover. In this song, the woman is not asking for his help...he's willingly offering himself.
There seems to be a few elements to indicate that the man is performing oral sex on the woman not only because he is turned on by it, but also because she is having pains and sex/orgasm can provide relief for that. Note "we'll alleviate the pain...let me kiss the curse away".
However, if you understand Peter Steele and his song writing style, my guess is that he probably decided to write this song because he thought it would be funny to write such a sensual song about menstration cunnilingus. Don't get me wrong, I'm 100% sure Pete has done this with a woman, but he also sometimes likes to write songs just because its a humorous topic, even if presented seriously.
So sensual...who doesn't want to cast a spell on someone?
(hence my name....sighhhhhhhhh)
