yeah everything bothers me
just about everything that i see
no need for a flag or a country
raise your finger if you agree

the problems won't go away
if we keep our rage at bay
the filth and slime will always stay
if we choose to ignore and play

goodbye america! fuck you america! goodbye america! fuck you!

the stars and strips are prison bars
they won't let you get too far
the rule over many by the few
you cant police my mind because i won't let you

Goodbye america, fuck you america
goodbye america, fuck you!

pledge allegence to your self
not greed, power, war, and wealth
remember you were born a human being
not a part of their machine

Good bye america, fuck you america
Goodbye america, fuck you!

NO MORE SOCIAL ORDER!

General Comment:Most of you are idiots (no offence) you have been brain washed by their system and now you cannot cope with some one expressing their opinion. When they sing 'Goodbye America' they aren't refering specificaly to the U.S.A. but to power, the concept of the nation state and governments as being inherently illigitemate, this being a common theme in the Unseens material-'No need for flags or nations', 'Swear allegence to your self, not greed, power, war and wealth'.
Also, bye the way America is very much a police state, the police are violent and close minded, the government funds dictators as it suits tyhem and they btrain people in the 'art' of torture and opression in the 'School of the americas' (now western hemisphere somthing or other).

My Opinion:Good song, terrible retarded lyrics.

Bunch of bratty rich kids that have no idea how good they have it.

If America is so bad, why are millions of illegal immigrants here?

"the stars and strips are prison bars they won't let you get too far"

Actually no. You can leave if you want. Why don't you fags make good on your gay little song and say "goodbye" to all of us? Move to the Middle East or Africa...

General Comment:There is not a single comment here that I'd agree with.

    But seriously, fuck this culture.

    And "sand niggers"? seriously?

Sure, the lyrics are simple, but there's still many, many reasons why it rings true.

General Comment:I think this song is really one sided. Maybe it's just me, but it seems kind of stupid to bitch about a country that gives people so many rights. Sure, we still have some issues with politics, but America is so big and diverse there really is no way to make everyone happy.

I do get where they're comming from, and do really like a few lines, mostly these..

    'pledge allegence to your self
not greed, power, war, and wealth
remember you were born a human being
not a part of their machine'

People need to stop giving into mob mentality. Just because the person you like, or your parents, or your friends, or a band you like thinks one thing, you don't have to agree.

General Comment:Henley, I think you are wrong. Firstly by this band being out there and listened to they /are/ making a change. Even if it is just a tiny one, they may be influencing people, inspiring people, who knows? But it does make a difference. That'd be like saying authors/poets/song writers who simply 'bitch' about a situation don't make a difference but that is wrong because alot of them touch people on a large scale. Secondly, I don't think the song is really suposed to change anything, although I'm sure it does to atleast one person, I think it is just a way of expressing the bands opinion.

General Comment:Nova: I agree I love my country , I don't however love the government. The US ain't perfect, but it could be ALOT worse. How would you have liked to live under the Taliban or something like that?
