time is always now here forever,
time is always now gone never,
god is now the ruler of the present,
his son a lesson born of a peasant,
here, now, forever,
happiness ends at the end of a beautiful tunnel,
now, forever,

run run run away, to a land far away,
where the hills are green and the water is gray,
maria ran with passion not seen in women,
thanks to the big life and her forceful,
daddy, no longer the man, no matter,
due is her freedom for loneliness with the dollar,
no longer the man, no matter
i've been poisoned by god,
the devil of money,
i will never marry, 'till i'm ready,
to be the perfect man,
mommy i love you.
honey the babysitters here,
honey it's 8 o'clock,
honey the babysitter's here, honey????
honey! the babysitter's here,
honey! it's 8 o'clock
honey! it's 8 o'clock! it's 8 o clock!

Song Meaning:For a while I thought parts of this song where anti-religious but after breaking it down more I found it's just about common problems in typical American marriages where there is a seek for perfection, greed, lose of love.

"Time is always now here forever,
time is always now gone never,
    Time is the present?"

    Not 100% on this part.
Describing someone who has fallen in love?
    Marriage feeling like eternity?

"God is now the ruler of the present,
his son a lesson born of a peasant,"

Now that the person is now married in theory they should be an upstanding religious person in this case a Christian.

    "Here, now, forever,
happiness ends at the end of a beautiful tunnel,
    now, forever,"

Refers to the ideal happy married life till death.

"Run run run away, to a land far away,
where the hills are green and the water is gray,"

Talks about starting the “perfect” life.

"Maria ran with passion not seen in women,
thanks to the big life and her forceful,
daddy, no longer the man, no matter, "

The wife is a very passionate person because of her tough father and the lots of money she has. Money has changed her.

"due is her freedom for loneliness with the dollar,"

    Not 100% on this part.
She is owed freedom from greed?

"no longer the man, no matter
    I’ve been poisoned by god,
    the devil of money, "

This is taking about greed and the worship of money.

"I will never marry, 'till I'm ready,
    to be the perfect man,
    mommy I love you. "

The man wants to be a “perfect” man so that he can be the “perfect” husband and that will make him the “perfect” father. Perfect Man = Perfect Husband = Perfect Father.

    "Honey the babysitters here,
    honey it's 8 o'clock,
    honey the babysitter's here [x2]
    honey! It’s 8 o'clock [x3]"

This is mocking how married life turns into chores and worries about nothing.

I think the song maybe even telling a story that goes something like this.
1 – Possibly about falling in love.
2 – Now that the people are married they have to be good Christians.
3 – Happy married life till death.
4 – Running off to live the perfect life (American Dream)
5 – The wife is a passionate person because of her tough father and greed.
6 – The wife is stuck in a greedy mindset.
7 – Greed and the worship of money overides the love of God.
8 – The man seeks perfection of himself.
    9 – Ends with a loveless marriage.

General Comment:The idea of settling in to a normal way of life is good but then lines like
-I've been poisoned by god, the devil of money
Don't really make sense. I think its some-how a mixture of Im Iranian's theroy and Embryosystem's theroy.
Maybe money achieving money overides love and marrige is a product or something.

General Comment:I suppose I'm Iranian's view is the correct one, but I would dispute on the part of the sentence, where you are saying that he will never marry, because he will never be a perfect man for there are no perfect man. In my opinion Serj's can theoretically marry, when he is really morally and psycologically READY to be the perfect man= the perfect husband= the perfect father.
