I met you on somebody's island
You thought you had known me before
I brought you a crate of papaya
They waited all night by your door
You probably wouldn't remember
I probably couldn't forget
Jungle love in the surf in the pouring rain
Everything's better when wet

Jungle love it's drivin' me mad
It's makin' me crazy
Jungle love it's drivin' me mad
It's makin' me crazy

But lately you live in the jungle
I never see you alone
But we need some definite answers
So I thought I would write you a poem
The question to everyone's answer
Is usually asked from within
But the patterns of the rain
And the truth they contain
Have written my life on your skin

Jungle love it's drivin' me mad
It's makin' me crazy
Jungle love it's drivin' me mad
It's makin' me crazy

You treat me like I was your ocean
You swim in my blood when it's warm
My cycles of circular motion
Protect you and keep you from harm
You live in a world of illusion
Where everything's peaches and cream
We all face a scarlet conclusion
But we spend our time in a dream

Jungle love it's drivin' me mad
It's makin' me crazy
Jungle love it's drivin' me mad
It's makin' me crazy

Jungle love it's drivin' me mad
It's makin' me crazy
Jungle love it's drivin' me mad
It's makin' me crazy

General Comment:Not to be confused with Jungle Love by the Time, that actually has a similiar meaning to the one ugadawgs121 said about.

General Comment:I luv this song, it's about how you're in love with someone so wild/and/or different from you, you love them so much but you're afraid that you could lose that person, you're hoping that you won't. so this love is a "jungle love" driving you mad, making you crazy.

General Comment:this song in not about a guy falling in love with a black girl. i think it is about a guy lusting over a girl he met who had no interest in him, or was already in a relationship.

General Comment:This song doesn't have any comments b/c people are probably afraid to "offened" by saying that it is about a guy in love with with an Island blackgirl (Jamaican, West Indies, etc.) Interracial love does exist...lol

General Comment:I'm surprised that this song doesn't have any comments... it's one of my favorites by Steve Miller Band. Really good upbeat song.
