Complicate this world you wrapped for me
I'm acquainted with your suffering
All your weight it falls on me
It brings me down
All your weight it falls on me
It falls on me
Hold me up to those whom you've deceived
Promises you break you still believe
All your weight it falls on me
It brings me down
All your weight it falls on me
It falls on me

Song Meaning:"Complicate this world you wrapped for me"
This seems to from God to the world. We over-complicate things, and try to put Him in to a box.

    "I'm acquainted with your suffering"
This seems to be from God to people who are praying, pleading to get their own way. God, I have all these problems. Though prayer is a way of communicating, He already knows what our problems are.

The chorus seems to be a reminder that Christ takes on the sins (weight) of the world.

"Hold me up to those whom you've deceived"
This seems to be to anybody who uses God or Jesus to deceive people. They hold up God or Jesus and use them to get power and/or money.

"Promises you break you still believe"
Preachers who make promises about the end of the world or about what they say God wants eventually get busted, but they keep trying to sell the same old lies.

General Comment:Doesn't matter the specific interpretation, but generally speaking it's obviously about the weight he feels due to another, whether that's a friend of his or his significant other. He's tired of the shit and he just needs him/her to know. I think we've all felt like this one time or another, especially in a relationship that becomes dominated by bullshit. You're torn because you've agreed to support this other person, but there's a limit to what a human being can support. Eventually, no matter the promises you've made to each other, there's a point where you have to admit things. I think this is just his confession, his admittance that he can't take it anymore.

General Comment:Sounds like a message to the Religious system to me. One could even see this as direct blasphemy, but I beg to differ. He is speaking of men that crucify other men in the name of God and make "true believers" such as himself look bad in the process. Hence "brings him down". Kick ass song, kick ass band!

General Comment:Collective soul always had a great rock sound to many of their songs that i have heard. Basically the song title says its all heavy. Its could be talking about anything from God to baggage to his inner thoughts bringing him down. A great song though no doubt!

General Comment:I love this song. I believe it's about being with someone who brings alot of baggage into the relationship and probably has major insecurity issues.

General Comment:I always kind of saw this song as being from Jesus' POV. Maybe it's with me being a Christian, but I seem to find religious meanings for majority of Collective Soul's songs.

"Complicate this world you wrapped for me
    I'm acquainted with your suffering"

This could be Jesus speaking to God in the first line with how God sent his Son to this world to help us. The 2nd line is about how Jesus understands our sufferings and can help us through them.

    "And all your weight
    It falls on me
    It brings me down
    And all your weight
    It falls on me
    It falls on me"

That's pretty much what we should do as Christians. Give our worries to Jesus, and he'll take care of them for us.

"Hold me up to all whom you've deceived
Promises you break you still believe"

This pretty much says that we should hold Jesus up and speak of him to non-believers. It will help spread the Gospel. Then even if we are sinners, Jesus will forgive us if we ask and decide to change.
