Lyrics for Dreams as interpreted by yogesh

Dreams Lyrics
Oh my life
Is changing everyday
In every possible way

And oh my dreams
It's never quite as it seems
Never quite as it seems

I know I've felt like this before
But now I'm feeling it even more
Because it came from you

And then I open up and see
The person falling here is me
A different way to be
La

I want more (impossible to ignore, impossible to ignore)

And they'll come true (impossible not to do, impossible not to do)

And now I'll tell you openly
You have my heart so don't hurt me
You're what I couldn't find

A totally amazing mind
So understanding and so kind
You're everything to me

this song has an eerie melody to it, which makes it one of the best songs of the cranberries!

I'm not sure exactly what this song means, but I think it's about falling in love with someone unexpected. Like, you never thought you'd fall for this person, but it just happened and the amazing thing is that, they like you too. :)

I haven't the slightest idea of the meaning behind this song. But, it has always been very special to me because it's a camp song. Sounds cheesy but, camp was amazing and I still miss it. Ian, who always put together the end of the summer slideshow together always played this song during the slideshow. "Oh my life
Is changing everyday
In every possible way

And Oh my dreams
It's never quite as it seems
Never quite as it seems

I know I've felt like this before
But now I'm feeling it even more
Because it came from you"
Just how at that age you change a lot and how important everyone at camp was and still is to me. This is great song no matter what the meaning and I'll always have a special place for it.

this song reminds me of someone having sex. i know that sounds really weird but it does. its like shes felt that way before (masturbation) and now shes feeling it even more because it actually came from someone else. i dont know thats how i view the song though. it reminds me of someone i know too.

Fantastic love song, the vulnerability of love is portayed brilliantly in the line "you have my heart so dont hurt me".

I think the song was in "You've Got Mail", for the input.
This song has effects that at near the end get REALLY annoying for headphone use.

"Dreams" by The Cranberries holds a special significance for me: it came into my consciousness at a lonely and beautiful time in my life: at the age of sixteen I was in the closet, my mother and I living with her neurotic mother (my grandmother) and her crack-addicted brother (my uncle). As odd as this may sound, "Dreams" has always seemed rather melancholic to me: a song that drifts through environment like the music of innocence, discovered and lost. I danced, cried, jogged, thought, contemplated, tried killing myself - all of that to this song. That's weighty, I suppose, but that's the significance this song holds for me. It's a song of self-discovery, who ever the "you" in the song may be, I have always taken it to mean the most integral "you": the person listening to it. Whenever I turn it on...I can still catch myself dancing to the beautiful and tenebrous music of being sixteen.

Man...I always thought I knew what this song meant to me, but now I've met this girl who totally makes all of this ring so much clearer. I have spent most of my four years at college avoiding a real relationship at all costs. Sure, I develop feelings for people and one time I even fell in love...but nothing ever REALLY comes of it. I've never felt the need to commit to someone, or to have someone commit to me. Then I met this girl. We've been "seeing" each other for about two weeks now, and I'm just completely fucked up over her. For the first time I've found someone who I honestly wouldn't mind having around most of the time. For the first time, I don't want to be with anyone else. For the first time, I REALLY don't want her to be with anyone else. She's the type of person I came to college hoping to meet, and until now...she's "what I couldn't find."
Of course, the downside is that in about 40 days I'm moving 1200 miles away to start my real life. God...timing sucks.

catherineks, I can see why you'd say that. I've had the same problems when I was a senior in HS... much less to say I never told the girl...

Did things turn out well?

i love this song. i remember hearing it in either the babysitters club movie or a commercial for the babysitter's club movie, but anyway, i love it, and am just now seeing what the lyrics really say.

I think this song is just talking about falling in love. Starts off by saying that stuff changes everyday, and this is what's changed with me. She's had relationships before and she's always thought 'This is it", but it's never quite as it seems... Then she realizes that she's actually falling for someone... harder than she's fallen before... and it's almost a completely different experience as before.. it's impossible to ignore... so she's going to go for it, despite past troubles, and warns him that since she's allowing it, he better treat her nicely. But I don't think the last part is what this site says it is... on others sites and what it sounds like is she says "So talk to me, amazing mind, so understanding and so kind, you're everything to me"... because she's so enthralled with him that just talking to him is comforting... I like to imagine that this is what love is really like... it's something to look forward to

It's just funny how in the lyrics the person wrote "La" and in the song she's like "La-ahahaha-aaaaaaahahah"

I dunno why but that had me lmao

Oh, and this song is okay but it sounds really dated in 2006

I get the feeling that its about someone who more than likely find the right person for them, but there afraid they might lose them and they don't want them. Its an amazing song especially if you can find someone from your dreams.

This song is the most amazing song i have evr heard. I come from a rough part of England were people don't understand true music.... But despite what everyone else think's i think this song ist ruely amazing. The background music is fantastic, it's one of my all time favs without a spec of a doubt. It's clear to see this song is about falling in love, how this person has changed there life, she is expressing how she feels for this person 'and now i tell you how i feel' . This song is more than just a love song.........
