  General Comment:I think its about a guy who spend his time wondering why his gf ends up smashed at the end of every night, and how he has given up trying to figure out why she does that. and how once she or they are drunk a fight can start from nothing and the guy is on the losing side no matter what.
  
  But i love the Cant connect, yeah yeah i know.... OHH SOOO GOOD SOUDING.. that lyric makes the song.

  with these lines he pretty much described my extremely bi-polar life
  thats what i think the entire song is about. The hopelessness of never being able to figure out how to just feel okay.

  General Comment:This song is my favorite Elliot Smith song. I think it's about him trying so hard to figure out what goes on in his womens head. But no matter how hard he tries he cant figure it out. I think most people can relate to this song. Absolutley amazing.

  General Comment:This song reminds me of how I feel until after "frontier". After that the meaning drags away from me personally and I don't quite know what he's talking about. but that's so Elliott and a big reason why I love him. Say, can anyone show me a link to this song. I haven't actually heard it (blush). Just read the lyrics.
