You're sorta stuck where you are
But in your dreams you can buy expensive cars
Or live on Mars
And have it your way

And you hate your boss at your job
Well, in your dreams you can blow his head off
In your dreams
Show no mercy

And all your bad days will end
And all your bad days will end
You have to sleep late when you can
And all your bad days will end

General Comment:Beautiful lyrics, just beautiful...inspired me to write a song of a similar theme. My boss pissed me off like wild this week so I went home and listened to this song after having not heard it in long time. I will sing it to myself every time he pisses me off and I've always loved the lyrics about going to Mars...ever since I first heard this song on my 9th birthday in Batman Forever-best scene of the film.

General Comment:The song is about being incredibly depressed, but how in dreams that depression is replaced by a magical surreal fantasy life, hence the delightful music. It's basically about self-induced dementia.

General Comment:'You have to sleep late when you can and all your bad days will end' What I understand by this is that if you keep awake at night you will sleep (and dream) all day, therefore you will not have any bad days! Brilliant.

General Comment:Based on the music video I totally agree. God damnit I love that video. It's such a perfect representation of the song and how completely bizarre Wayne Coyne and the band are.

General Comment:I know it's cheesy but I think the song is about the importance of the "little things" in life, like sleeping in and fantasizing about a bloody gun battle in the workplace. If you can take enough pleasure in the small stuff that makes you happy you can ignore seemingly big problems, like your boss being horrible, because you come to realise that they're not that important.

General Comment:This song is so awesome.
I think the things they talk about in this song, are kind of universal, almost everyone feels trapped in their life at some point and nobody likes their boss.

Being asleep is so much better than real life...

General Comment:This is the perfect song. I love the message too, that our dreams are how we should deal with our troubles, instead of hurting people or turning to other things.
