1,000,000 Years Bc Lyrics
1-2-3-4

They're calling me, creatures of the night
Beautiful music, animal instincts survived
The serpent's tongue, so ancient, before the dawn of time
Fed throughout the ages on the blood of mankind

Ooh, I've seen it all
Ooh, From grace men fall
Babylon
Curse of all creation
Winged serpent of the pit
Monstrosity

One million years BC
One million years BC
One million years BC

Ten thousand centuries ago
Cast down from Heaven to pillage below
The serpent's eyes, still watching for its easy prey
Feed upon the hopeless, the weak and afraid

Ooh, I've seen it all
Ooh, From grace they fall
Babylon
Curse of all creation
Winged serpent of the pit
Monstrosity

One million years BC
One million years BC
One million years BC

One million years BC
One million years BC
One million years BC

One million years BC
One million years BC
One million years BC

Whoa-oh-oh-oh

Are you guys retarded this song has a very very obvious meaning. Its talking about the devil/lucifer... cast down from heaven!!!??? Serpent!!!?? Almost every friggin lyric talks about the devil. How could you not see that?

Wow! You guys really missed the mark. I've learned that about 90% of Misfits songs are about Horror movies, which may be why the Misfits have been classified under thier own genre of Horror Punk. Anyway this song is about a 1966 Raquel Welch movie called (drumroll please) "One Million Years B.C."

Does Graves sing on this one, or is it Jerry Only? It's not that I hate the "resurrected" Misfits, I'm just more familiar with Glenn's works.

I think you´re right about Misfits concerning horror movies, but still, the song lyrics doesn´t talk about the movie, it´s some way incoherent with it, so the "devil song" theory sounds better for me... and I´m still not conviced with that...

I don't think it is about the Raquel Welch movie. That was about cavemen and shit. Graves is singing about the fall from heaven and the serpent of the pit. I think he is talking about Lucifer. And Graves does not suck. He fucking rocks. Danzig does too. Quit bitching that Danzig left. Go listen to some Samhain. They rule too.

You are right astrozombie. Many Misfits songs are about movies. This one, though, isn't. It just happens to have the same title as the Raquel Welch movie.

Well...this is a good punk rock song indeed.....Misfits all the way.....!!! I really like both eras of the Misfits Graves voice is great, Danzig voice is great and unique....what more can I say!! Now talking about the meaning, it's obviously about Lucifer/Satan and its fall from heaven, and the way he has influenced mankind......It's pretty obvious!
