Lyrics for Saturday Night as interpreted by iampunk

Saturday Night Lyrics
Oooooh oooh!
Whoa oh oh oh!
Noooo oh oh!

There's 52 ways to murder anyone
One and two are the same
And they both work as well
I'm coming clean for Amy
Julie doesn't scream as well
And the cops won't listen all night
And so maybe I'll be over
Just as soon as I fill them all in

And I can't remember when I saw her last
We were running around and having a blast, having a blast
But the backseat of the drive-in is so lonely without you
I know when you're home

I was thinking about you
There was something I forgot to say
I was crying on Saturday night
I was out cruising without you
They were playing our song
Crying on Saturday night

As the moon becomes the night time
You go viciously, quietly away
I'm sitting in the bedroom, where we used to sit and smoke cigarettes
Now I'm watching, watching you die (oh oh oh)

I can't remember when I saw her last
We were running around and having a blast
But the backseat (backseat) of the drive-in (drive-in)
Is so lonely without you
I know when you're home

I was thinking about you
There was something I forgot to say
I was crying on Saturday night
I was out cruising without you
They were playing our song
Crying on Saturday night

Yeah!
Crying on Saturday night
Crying.... on Saturday.... night!

You all have good thoughts but quite honestly look at it from a sadist point of view, if this was ed gein or albert fish do you think they would be in love with them or the murder? I think he was just reminessing on how he killed her and how muh fun it truly was. Hell yeah he is sad because he can't tear her apart again "Now I'm watching, watching you die" To me this makes more sense then your ideas, but another thing is this is off of Famous Monsters almost all tyhe song are about movies, not sure of this one and I don't think there is a movie about fiend club just about loving horror shit. So think about that and if you find the movie tell me!!!

I agree with horrore, love this song, one of the few that I really enjoy by graves, the more I listen to it the more I hear the pain in his voice and the creepiness of the whole song makes me love it more.

I'm sorry guys but you are all SOOO wrong about this song! He didn't kill anyone. "There are 52 ways to murder anyone", he means there are 52 ways to break anyones heart."One and two are the same", like cheating or falling out of love they hurt just as much. He is coming clean for amy because he used to love her, just like he used to love julie, but amy was the one he was really in love with but he messed it up and is now in love with someone else. However, the girl he is now in love with doesn't want him because he hurt her too. But he says "maybe he'll be over once he fills them all in", all of them are the graves he speaks of earlier, but it's a metaphor for ending his relationships for good with all of these other girls. And so he's "crying on a saturday night.", " the backseat of the drive in is so lonely without you." because he wants to be with this new girl.

My friend used to date Amy, Michale Grave's ex. And she says that this song is about Michale doing too much cocaine and not being able to get it up. She broke up with him becasue he used to much... so he says " im coming clean for amy" because he wants to stop using for her.
"whatching you die" is not about him killing her is about killing her memory or about actually watching her die as she became a user after braking up with him. how ironic.
