Lyrics for Saturday Night as interpreted by iampunk

Saturday Night Lyrics
Oooooh oooh!
Whoa oh oh oh!
Noooo oh oh!

There's 52 ways to murder anyone
One and two are the same
And they both work as well
I'm coming clean for Amy
Julie doesn't scream as well
And the cops won't listen all night
And so maybe I'll be over
Just as soon as I fill them all in

And I can't remember when I saw her last
We were running around and having a blast, having a blast
But the backseat of the drive-in is so lonely without you
I know when you're home

I was thinking about you
There was something I forgot to say
I was crying on Saturday night
I was out cruising without you
They were playing our song
Crying on Saturday night

As the moon becomes the night time
You go viciously, quietly away
I'm sitting in the bedroom, where we used to sit and smoke cigarettes
Now I'm watching, watching you die (oh oh oh)

I can't remember when I saw her last
We were running around and having a blast
But the backseat (backseat) of the drive-in (drive-in)
Is so lonely without you
I know when you're home

I was thinking about you
There was something I forgot to say
I was crying on Saturday night
I was out cruising without you
They were playing our song
Crying on Saturday night

Yeah!
Crying on Saturday night
Crying.... on Saturday.... night!

Pure and simple it's about regret. You love someone and you kill her or she just dies. With the 50ish sound it was probably illness. But you never know. They are gone and you are missing them and lets face it loneliness kills as well. Its actually a really cool song. The closest thing to a ballad by The Fits. As for what Milkman said; I once danced with my now ex-fiancé to this song and it ended up being the first night we made love. The Misfits mixed with romance; go figure.

This song is about him singing to the grave of this girl that he loved that was murdered. He is remembering all the things they have done. but one thing is he did not murder her. he just buried her.

I think this song is about some serial killer dude who ended up killing some chick that he actually loved. which i think is kinda funny. think about it, wouldnt it be a bitch to have killed the chick you just fell madly in love with? or maybe im just demented.

Yeah I think Graves is a great singer, he's got his own vocals thing going on, he really didn't try to sound like Danzig. He doesn't compare to Danzig, but he's good enough for me.

the fits are one of the only bands that i truly love. one thing that has confused me though: they have many many songs about killing their girlfriends, and always seem sad afterwards. its like...how about you just dont kill her? is it that hard? haha.

Green hell nailed it , graves is not danig, but at least he never tried to be either, that would just have been a bad scene for all. As for the song, it's the love song for dudes who are too cool to like love songs, it screams cheesy horror movie romance but keeps an edge, goosebumbs is all i can say, which says a lot considering it's by the new misfits

This is one hell of a song. I think it means that he killed some girl and he regrets it. Then he cries on a saturday night. It is pretty fucked up when you cry on a day that you should be partying or hangin out with ur girl.

i think that one part Rotten is like hes saying he is trying to admit his problems to "amy" about killing julie and the cops are stupid in the night (in my opinion) and he is telling her that he might be over later just as soon as he tells everyone his problems... this song to me is about trying to over come the addiction or just admit what you have done wrong in the past.

Sure,It talks about killing julie, but it seems like it relates to anyone who's ever ended a relatinship and regreted it.

this song is just great, it has a punk and a cheap 80's B-Movies horror sound to it {well that's the misfits} but also sounds like a 1950's-60's love song {with a twist} I think the guy is singing about how he murdered all his girlfriends but he killed the one he really loved and regrets it and feels lonely without her! The whole "drive-in" theme is giving it the 50's/60's feel too, a really awesome track off "famous monsters"! Although someone said to me this is an "emo" song, I can't see why??

He killed Julie, and regrets it because he realizes the loved her. "There was something I forgot to say"
I believe what he means is that he forgot to say that he loved her.

Or it could be about how his girl was murdered by someone else, but I stick to the first one.

He's confessing his crimes, for Amy (she's dead) Julie doesn't scream as well/also (she bought it too).
Seems to me he's retracing his favourite date (cruising Saturday night/drive-in/ smoking cigarettes) with his favourite gal, (who he has just killed- Amy) before he turns himself in.

Possibly- he's giving himself up for Amy-after he kills her.... (1st verse)
"Something I forgot to say"-I love you/may have have forgot something in his confession to the filth.

Graves all the way.... Danzig is good, Graves vox are really brooding-grteat that he was himslef when he filled Glenns shoes-don't get me wrong folks I like Danzig too.

It's a bit fucked up though people the love of my life is called Amy... won't be killing her any time soon mind

Its a ballard from the point of view of a sadist with a mental illness and meets them at the drive in and tortures them in the back seat, one girl (amy ) seemed to catch his heart alot more than any other girl and he accidentally kills her, trying to get over it he rapes a girl called julie who doesnt scream like amy did so he cries on saturday night while bein alone and listening to the song that he heard when he killed amy, thats the way i see it anyway being it is the misfits they cant be too soft on the topic of love
