And we won't be breathing in that same sun again. None of this will ever surface again. How we get older, how we forget about eachother. And the angel falls to the sky. Raised and coiled she blessed this day she did. And it rings our ears. She rarely flies anymore, burden broke her wings. And I know this ghost, I have seen it before. Young it is the dying too fast, too soon, I'll be okay. The air thins in the quick and our lips move but we hear no sound. Every time you justify, another good in you dies. Faith and fear sears me, and love and you pull all the right strings. "How we get older, how we forget about eachother," she said. Entwined within the sadder of days.

anyhow. i was listening to Red House Painter's s/t [Rollercoaster] and noticed that The Saddest Day has a lot of paraphrased lines from the song Things Mean a Lot in the lyrics. check it out:

it wouldn't surprise me if Jake was a fan of Kozelek's work. so yeah, this makes a lot of sense, this is about people you love growing away from you and how people grow distant - how things "mean a lot at the time", but "don't mean nothing later".
If you and some chick shared a band together like tbs i think its better to leave the cd's in the closet or sell em and make some cash off that shit man. I don't get why the hell you'd keep something thats just going to remind you of something you ain't got anymore unless they (were/are) 1. blood 2. dead 3. stolen
Good times..
But to compare them, in any sense, good or bad, to a band like Converge is pure lunacy, and it illuminates just how undeveloped your taste in music really is. Converge is an acquired taste, but once acquired, oh my...they are cingular in the best sense of the word, displaying energy and emotion and deep artistic genius rarely found in music today. You don't have to understand what he is saying. You can barely understand Adam from TBS until you read the lyrics once or twice, then it makes sense. But I digress. I think Converge is one of those things that you either get or you don't, and there's not much gray if any. I get it, and I LOVE it. You should also check out Bannon's side-project Supermachiner, which is excellent as well.pEaCe!

ARE YOU SERIOUS
INTO THE MOAT WILL NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS EVEN BE ABLE TO TOUCH THE GENIUS THAT IS CONVERGE. INTO THE MOAT IS FOR KIDS THAT LIKE RETARDED CIRCUS RIFFS AND POINTLESS BREAKDOWNS. THERE IS NO SUBSTANCE.
WOW. I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT TO SAY TO YOU. YOU'RE HOPELESS.
Into the Moat=better hardcore
about someone who you were close with, but the inevitable seperation comes
Converge is one of the best bands I have ever listened to. Having a "nice voice" doesn't always convey the message as a gut wrenching scream does
