Feeling scared today
Write down "I am OK"
A hundred times the doctors say
I am OK
I am OK
I'm not OK

Skin is crawling off
Mopping the sweaty drops
Sticking around for this shit
Another day
Another day
Not another day

Pink pills feels good
Finally understood
Take me in your warm embrace
I am trying
I am trying

General Comment:This is one of the saddest songs I've ever heard. Absolutely beautiful, but somewhat painful to listen to. The "I am Ok, I am Ok, I'm not Ok" part especially gets me.

My Interpretation:This song reminds me of the four days my family and I sat at the hospital while my father was dying this August. Maybe it is about waiting while his mother died?

"Feeling Scared today, Write down I am okay" --- Everyone is so terrified, but you act like you are holding up. You never admit out loud how hard it is.

"A 100 times the doctors day" --- Then the line cuts out, because no matter how many times the doctors tell you that someone is dying, you never say it out loud...

"Skin is crawling off" --- I remember feeling that way, like your skin could just crawl off, or you could just stop breathing and not even notice. You feel like the situation is so out of control that you can't even control your body.

    "sticking around for this shit
another day, another day, not another day" --- Just sitting there, waiting another day... then suddenly it's not another day. You sit there in misery and wait, then it is just over.

"I am trying" --- It's hard, you have to keep trying to go on, and it keeps getting harder.

General Comment:All of E's lyrics are so honest and so saddeningly so. You can't help but cry because the sever emotions people feel are to large and foreign.

General Comment:I believe the lyrics refer to how E's sister had to write down 'I am okay' 100 times while she was in a mental hospital. eventually she just wrote 'i am not okay' and E used it. Really sad song.

General Comment:I agree. It's a bit too much to listen to. It has turned out to have increased meaning now than when I was 15. I remember listening to this on cassette on the way to school and being taken out by a teacher who told me I looked 'awful' and 'what was wrong?' while I just squirmed and said I was 'ok,' and 'fine.'

why face the truth yourseld when the lithium can disguise it?

    This is SO poignant

It could reduce even the most hardened, burly man to tears. I really relate to it too :(

General Comment:This song reminds me of a friend of mine who suffers with scizophrenia but is trying to cope without taking his medication. Every now and again it gets the better of him and he has to start taking his pills again.
