Penelope shoot the apple off my head I need to go to the store to get some sleep.
Because I've run out of sleep.
The row boat came so David stopped arguing with a mime
And waved his arms like wheat.
But when he tried to speak the Prince of Plum
Fell through the roof of his mouth
And handed David an envelope inside was a letter that read
'sir, you were given this envelope by mistake please disregard it'
Nicolynn shoot the candle off my head I need to go to the store to get some beets.
To rub all over my feet.
Andy's joke reminded Gerard that his sloth balloon was owned by Turkish moths.
Gerard's Lebanese boss had sent him out on business
Giving his word that he would keep it looked in the safe
But it was all deceit
Cause once he had the sloth balloon
He traded it to the moths for a lithograph of
"Lady Lamenting On A Lawn Chair".
What interested Balabanoba was building complicated French machines.
Designed to better enjoy the duchess, and she him.
He helps her in the stirrups then he straps himself in
They spend their days in heights of ecstasy.
But wait why then does she look so sad?
Why is her countenance so glum?
Does she tire of mechanical hands or is she pining for the fair Prince of Plum?
Lulubird shoot the doorbell off my head
I need to go to the store to get some treats.
For Gothe,Becket and Keates.
The characters of the "Gay Parade"
Formed a boys choir with Static and the Red King.
But whenever they sing all postal workers
Simultaneously whisper to themselves the word calendar calendar

General Comment:"I`m not sure who/what Static is, but I`m taking a guess that it relates to one of the E6 bands that sang in Nickee Coco."

Julian Koster (of Neutral Milk Hotel) has a band called The Music Tapes. Static is a talking television set who is a member of their band!

General Comment:cooperton: Whenever the characters of the Gay Parade's boys choir sing, it causes the postal workers to all whisper "calendar." I don't think Of Montreal are the characters of the Gay Parade -- I think the characters of the Gay Parade are just that: the various characters mentioned on that album.

    Calendar

if they whisper calendar at the end, then wouldnt that mean that of montreal are thecharacters of the gay parade singing, because why else would there have been someone whispering 'calendar'

General Comment:aha, touche chloroplasticism. i had no idea what i'd say here, tbh. immediately reactions were: this is very beatles-ish, they say lebanese! i anticipate challenges toward my beatles claim, but w/e. progressive changes are amaaazing. not very syd barrett? aha i love the silliness of it, and consistany w/ "I neeeed to go to the store" - it strings the chaotic, lyrical mess together. of course it's the chaotic, lyrical mess that we all love. i can't even recognize all the instruments, it's so pretty.

General Comment:"goethe was a contemerary painter becket was an playwrite and keats was a romantic poet all three had a surreal and philisophicle nature to their work"

You're kidding, right? Goethe, Beckett (two Ts) and Keats don't resemble each other at all. Have you even read them? No, Goethe wasn't a painter. He was a writer. Goethe and Keats could possibly be said to have some similar tendencies, but Beckett? Nah, doesn't fit in there. Try pairing Beckett with Stoppard or something instead. My point is really that the allusion to the three writers is about as nonsensical as the rest of the song, and it's okay. Stop trying to find meaning where there is none.
