  General Comment:I love the "watched my cat die for a month now I have seen a sheepish woner" line. I think he had to watch his pet cat get sick and die and that doesnt mkae him too happy. Knowing that Doug likes cats makes me respect him even more. cats kick ass.

    the song is about him losing a pet cat three years today. the first part
    of the song is about him waking up dreaming about that day and how
    horrible it was. the line no one's gonna push my buttons
    no one's gonna have their say makes me think that his friends and
    family said that he should put his cat down. the second part is him
    realizing that it didn't seem quite as awful as it seemed. the last part
    where he says "feel about the same but I'm 10 years older" since the
    event happened three years ago he can't be 10 years older so it means that he has
    matured substantially. the next line is where I percieve that people
    are telling him to put the cat down as the cat was probably in pain
    or possibly bleeding out its eyes and mouth. the last line is him seeing
    his cat in his dream earlier.
