do you remember?
do you remember?
that night at context
making up shit
like we were animals
we made no sense
no sense
we had no sex

can you see, can you see?
can you see?
can you see, can you see?
can you see?
the moon is so hollow
what's the use?
when I can see right
through you
what's the use?

all the hearts that touch your cheek
how they jump they move they embarrass
all the hearts that touch your cheek
how they jump they move they embarrass
they make no sense
no sense, no sense, no sense
we had no sex o-ho-hoo

Song Meaning:This song seems to be about when the 'honeymoon period' of a relationship ends, and couples argue and have drunken fights. It's probably about the break-down of Chan's relationship with Bill Callahan. In fact Moon Pix is apparently a 'break-up' album.

Also, I thought the lyrics are 'night contest' rather than context.

Other girls that have fallen for that guy? I'm not sure.. that's what I'm interpreting it as?

General Comment:Have you considered that no sex could mean no gender? "we had no sex" is kind of an awkward phrasing. Normally you would say something like 'we didn't have sex' or 'there was no sex'. Just a thought.

General Comment:I think the entire song is about recalling a relationship, and its natural progression. The lines "the moon is so hollow, what's the use/ when I can see right through you, what's the use?" remind me of the point in a relationship where you can tell when the other person is bluffing so to speak. You know when they're pretending, or what their true intentions are at this point.

My favorite lines in it: "All the hearts that touch your cheek- how they jump, they move, they embarrass" reminds me of the actual progression of a relationship that I mentioned before. In the beginning your heart "Jumps" with excitement, then as the relationship furthers you "Move" with it and with the other person, then finally, when you reach that stage when you feel like there's no point in being in the relationship anymore, you "Embarrass" because before you were so blind and naive.

There are more parts to it, but I was mainly moving off of that last quote which inspired my interpretation.

Also I like the fact that she calls lips "hearts" in that line. As if when you kiss someone you are touching them with your heart, I suppose that relates to the facade of it all.

General Comment:This sounds like a girl recollecting a drunken night where a guy claimed to have had sex with her or hooked up with her, but really, they didin't have sex at all. He just wants wants people to think they did, or maybe she's just denying they did to save herself from embarrassment. Either way, one of these people is in denial of the truth.

and the lyrics are "that night IN context"
