Lyrics for F.E.E.L.I.N.G.C.A.L.L.E.D.L.O.V.E. as interpreted by typo

F.E.E.L.I.N.G.C.A.L.L.E.D.L.O.V.E. Lyrics
The room is cold and has been like this for several months
If I close my eyes I can visualise everything in it
Right down, right down to the broken handle
On the third drawer down of the dressing table
And the world outside this room
Has also assumed a familiar shape
The same events shuffeled in a slightly different order each day
Just like a modern shopping centre

And it's so cold - yeah it's so cold
It's so cold yeah, it's so cold
What is this feeling called love?
Why me, why you, why here, why now?
It doesn't make no sense, no
It's not convenient, no
It doesn't fit my plans, no
It's something I don't understand, oh
F.E.E.L.I.N.G. C.A. double L.E.D. L.O.V.E.
Oh, what is this thing that is happening to me?

And as I'm standing across this room
I feel as if my whole life has been leading to this one moment
And as I touch your shoulder tonight
This room has become the centre of the entire universe
So what do I do?
I've got a slightly sick feeling in my stomach
Like I'm standing on top of a very high building, oh yeah
All the stuff they tell you about in the movies
But this isn't chocolate boxes and roses
It's dirtier than that
Like some small animal that only comes out at night
And I see flashes of the shape of your breasts
and the curve of your belly
and I may have to sit down and catch my breath

Oh, What is this feeling called love?
Why me, why you, why here?
And why now?
It doesn't make no sense, no
It's not convenient, no
It doesn't fit my plans
But I got that taste in my mouth again
F.E.E.L.I.N.G. C.A. double L.E.D. L.O.V.E.
What is this thing that is happening to me?
F.E.E.L.I.N.G. C.A.double L.E.D. L.O.V.E.
What is this thing that is happening to me?
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah

this is about how love always comes unexpectedly, almost unwelcome, as Jarvis has put so eloquently.

As usual with Pulp, this song is gritty realism. 'This isn't chocolate boxes and roses' is a great line. Love comes when you least expect it and sometimes it's unwelcome and totally screws you up. It's NEVER what the books and movies tell you it'll be.

i don't think it's abit jarvis losing his virginity 'cause that was in some park in sheffield (i only know this because f the documentry "do you remember the first time?") I think it's just about him falling in love unexpectedly and in the wrong circumstances.

I just love the fact that he cannot say the entire phrase and he has to spell it... because let's face it, even when you have that sick feeling in your stomach and when you feel that you and this other person are right in the centre of the universe... and even when you just want to scream "i love you"... it's not that easy... so i guess that's what Jarvis is trying to express in this song ^^

This song is about love being relatively unexpected. Not that it's a bad thing, but it is something really not planned. The best things in life are not really planned, to be honest. It's not about losing his virginity, being in a love/hate relationship, etc: it's about falling for someone when it may/may not be convenient to you. Life happens despite your own needs. It's positive and yet real, in a way. The song isn't negative in how it expresses the feeling of love, but it isn't sappy in its romantic undertones. It's just real.

Jarvis has been quoted as saying "People think love is this romantic, soft thing but I think it can be quite dirty if you do it right." I think that basically sums this song up. He's telling you to ignore the books and films, because love doesn't just make you doe-eyed, it makes you feel sick and excited and... Well, you get the idea.

In this song, it's like love is a drug and he's talking about the comedown.

Very Serge Gainsbourg this one. I remember this song as it was playing the first time i made out with a girl and it was the HORNIEST experience of my life - a perfect song for that moment, as we were both inexperienced and it wasn't porn film perfect, 'it was dirtier than that,' lol
