Lyrics for Bar Italia as interpreted by typo

Bar Italia Lyrics
Now if you can stand
I would like to take you by the hand, yeah
And go for a walk
Past the people as they go to work

Oh, let's get out of this place
Before they tell us that we've just died
Move, move quick, you've gotta move
Come on it's through, come on it's time
Oh look at you, you
You're looking so confused
Just what did you lose?

If you can make an order could you get me one?
Two sugars would be great
Cos I'm fading fast
And it's nearly dawn

If they knocked down this place, this place
It'd still look much better than you
Move, move quick, you've gotta move
Come on it's through, come on it's time
Oh look at you, you
You're looking so confused
What did you lose
Oh, it's ok it's just your mind

If we get through this alive
I'll meet you next week, same place, same time
Oh move, move quick you've gotta move
Come on it's through, come on it's time
Oh look at you, you
You're looking so confused
What did you lose?

That's what you get from clubbing it
You can't go home and go to bed
Because it hasn't worn off yet
And now it's morning
There's only one place we can go
It's around the corner in Soho
Where other broken people go
Let's go

i think it's about the morning after a huge night out, and just getting back out into the world.

it's most likely about rolling on "E" in a London club and not being able to go to bed because it hasn't worn off yet.
In the last verse, they probably go to a greasy diner and get some eggs.

The song does indeed seem to be about a chilly come-down! The "only one place we can go" that's "round the corner in Soho" is indeed Soho's Bar Italia. (See http://www.baritaliasoho.co.uk)

Great song, it ends Different Class perfectly.

A simple song about a hangover after a night of alchohol and drugs. Probably the most chilled out track on the album, which gives me an image of the narrator quietly helping his friend sober up.

This somg is sooo chemical comedown. Sitting in a coffee shop, seeing reality as a cracked and fading front for oblivion, and of course sugar!!!

This song is so extremely accurate in it's portrayal of the morning after a night out on mdma.
Like the movie "Human Traffic" I can relate to this track 100%.

Same goes for Sorted for E's & Wizz.

So, so chilling.

It makes me think of Doctor Who!! XD But my sister says it is about drugs ... ooooookay!

"I'd like to take you by the hand ..." Rose + The Doctor hold hands very often...!
"Go for a walk past people as they go to work" More like a run, but comparing Doc+Rose's life to the other ordinary people.
"Before they tell us we've just died" Doomsday=Rose officially "Dies".
"Move quick, you've gotta move" They run a lot don't they? And Doc's first word to Rose was "Run!"
"Two sugars would be great" Hey, 10th Doc likes tea!!!
"If we get through this alive, I'll meet you next week, same place same time!" Every week at 7pm on BBC 1, Doctor Who aired (and will soon air again for next series!). Until Doomsday, last ep, where Rose officially "Died" and then we have a long break from it!! XD
"You can't go home and go to bed because it hasn't worn off yet" The adrenaline they have after an adventure, and they can't go to bed because it's not worn off yet!
"Let's go" Not exactly a LYRIC mind you, but Doc+Rose are always running off to new places!!

XD So what do you think?

Yer that makes a whole lot of sense.

Despite the fact this song was written over 10 years before the new Dr Who series.

That Doctor Who explanation is a classic. Brilliant.

Umm... no offence, but who ever wrote the doctor who explanation is at least a bit nuts. Lol. Any idea how old this song is? And that the series of doctor who you're talking about came out last year?

I realise that those questions sound sort of sarcastic, but it's weird how you heard that song - that calm, beautiful song - and automatically related it to a TV series involving tin cans on wheels with plungers stuck on the front.

No offence, Dr Who fans. I liked the come-down after a night out theory. (Note: In this song, he takes two sugars. In Acrylic Afternoons, he takes one. Yes, I am a freak. Lol.)♥
