You can force it but it will not come
You can taste it but it will not form
You can crush it but it's always here
You can crush it but it's always near
Chasing you home

Saying, everything is broken
Everyone is broken

You can force it but it will stay stung
You can crush it as dry as a bone
You can walk it home straight from school
You can kiss you can break all the rules

But still, everything is broken
Everyone is broken
Everyone is, everyone is broken
Everyone is, everything is broken

Why can't you forget
Why can't you forget
Why can't you forget

My Interpretation:It's simple! This song is about imperfection of our reality! ^^
You want something so much, but it can't happen in this world...

General Comment:I think anyone who's been depressed can relate to this

or ... this is the emotional effect of living in what is described in OK Computer

Song Meaning:I think that a lot of people are right about this being a love song. Also, I don't think he means to say that you can literally crush the object of the song. I think he's saying that no matter how long you sit there thinking about the person (or "crushing" on them), they won't fall in love with you unless you do something real. Basically, what they're saying is move on, this isn't worth it.

General Comment:I think this song refers as how Thom used to look at the world. No matter how hard he tried, he could not cope with it, he didn´t fit.
Everyhting is broken and he can´t forget.
Nothing and no one seems worthy.

General Comment:Here's the real meaning. Thom Yorke is saying LIFE cannot be used, manipulated or treated as our little selves please. EVERYTHING is broken. So in the verses, he's summing up everything...
A telex is like a fax.
He's saying, "you mean we're getting good at communication technology...in order to communicate what? that everything's broken? -How could you forget? Everybody know that everything's broken."

Reproduction is the act of breaking our sexual organs, all the rest is history...broken by default...

Song Meaning:To me, this song is about moving on form love. So you're with someone else, but you can't love them because you still love someone else... (get what I mean? I know what I mean) 'You can force it' that's you trying to force yourself to love the new, attainable person. 'You can crush it' that's you trying to crush the old love. 'Everything is broken' because it would be so much easier if you loved the new person and not the old person. 'Why can't you forget', asking yourself why you can't just forget about the person you love and your feelings towards them.

General Comment:Xerox is a company not a process.

I get the feeling this isn't supposed to be about anything, in the same way David Bowie "wrote" a few songs by sticking together a bunch of words written on bits of paper
