This song is really just too good to screw up. Every version I've heard is good, but the original version is by far the best. Amazing really, the Misfits are almost too good.

OMG I GO THRU ALMOST EVERY COMMENT...and no1 has mentioned that this song was not only covered by metallica (which personally i liked) as welll as the band AIDEN (which i liked more than the misfits version) go check it out

I am a huge punk and metal fan.

alot of metallica fans font realize that with out the misfits, there would be no metallica... thus thier would be no Dream Theater (look'em up ppl. Prog metal!)

It drives me crazy when fans of metal say punk sucks because it is simple... punk is about the message. the energy. Metal is about energy also and message, but it is conveyed in a different way...

Certain songs should be played by certain bands...I love his voice in this...makes me wanna......lol no one else can sing like him.... Metallicas is ok but they are lacking the soul behind the voice...dig?

Well I haven't heard Metallica's version but I wouldn't want to, my PERSONAL OPINION is Metalliaca is one of the most over rated bands in the world. Anyways I like this song, its the 3rd song I heard by The Misfits and its so hard to get out of your head once you listen to it

i actually just got into listening to The Misfits. this is the first and one of my favorite songs..the other is dig up her bones,..granted the fact that people make whiny cunts of themselves because danzig isnt singing, its still a great song, get over it

i like both versions because the original misfits one gives you a raw sound of listening while the metallica cover version gives you a much more cleaner version of it...theyre both great songs to me...

They should make a 1 night Original Misfits reunion playing all the songs from Misfits Collection 1 and 2

all of the earler misfits has that "raw" sound... and thats what makes it good... the recording prosses were b grade... thats why the "newfits" as some of you are calling the graves era sounds so diffrent... graves wasn't danzig yes but the graves era was still more misfits than todays misfits due to the fact that doyle left and now its just jerry... its kinda sad what the misfits have become... but hey... there still my fav all time band.

Metallica version is not as good as Misfits original version, Aiden version is not as good as Misfits original version, altho Aiden version is better than Metallica version, Mammoth King, drumming does not go out of time, trust im a drummer, and DANZIGS vocals sound as great as they ever do. awesome song, about a crappy relationship, obvioulsy.

Although Metallicas cover was good- if you like metallica, they lost a lot of the "roughness" of the song and the Misfits version is a million X better!

In some weird way i find this song romantic and not about a slut at all. "dead end girl for a dead end guy".

I dont think he killed her because he hated her....
