Evil eyes behind their smiles
You swallow it up when sincerity lies
Lock me up, label me “dangerous” files
Fear of the unknown, so scared of my style
Alert the press and address the states of emergency
We the crew you love to hate
First mistake, you were never ready
Dance with the dead, better be ten times more deadly
This is me, I’m always the same
Virus in the system, crash the mainframe
Uprise, now fall in line
Roll with the pack or get left behind

chorus:
“It’s a Masterpiece Conspiracy”
I’d rather hear it from you than be lied to
Call it what it is like the heathens do
Red lights of betrayal, deceived again
Exposed by the light, true colors ascend
Take down the regime, break the trend
Bumrushed by your peers and your so-called friends
Keep your people tight, watch your enemies close
Trust what you know, soon enough they’ll choke
Where were you when we started this thing?
You weren’t around, this ain’t yours to claim
You’ll never take what’s been given to us
Wipe that smile off your face and that look of disgust
Uprise, now fall in line
Roll with the pack, or get left behind

chorus

Liar, deceiver, betrayer, back stabber

chorus

General Comment:The line "You’ll never take what’s been given to us" reminded me of how so many people are/have been trying so tirelessly to take away Israel's land. I'm not sure if that goes in with the rest of the song, but that just jumped out at me when I heard that lyric.

Also, hbreakid, I agree with your interpretation.

About ForgottenAngel17's comment, I think that's just one more great thing about P.O.D. I heard in an interview that they make an effort for their songs to be heard as the listener wants to hear them. Their music is just so versatile. Reminds me of Luke 8:8-10, which says this:

8And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

9And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?

10And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

General Comment:ForgottenAngel17 that is what a lot of Christian bands strive for, to reach people and relate with them. Of course if you know Christ on a more personal level then there are other meanings to it that relate to Christianity.

General Comment:I know that P.O.D. is like a Christian band or whatever.. but I never see these songs as being related to "God". I guess that's because I don't believe in "God" but I do have to say they are great and I really like a lot of their songs.. but most of them just sounds like my life. Like this song reminds me of some certain person that's in my life right now.

General Comment:There's two ways you come interpret this (maybe more, but I know two.) What hbreakid said, or maybe it's being said from a heretic's point of veiw and calling the church lairs etc. that's how I relate to it.

General Comment:I think it's about the tribulation, How the Antichrist will deceive the nations. "Lock me up, label me “dangerous” files" speaking about how Christians will be hated like never before during this time.

"Roll with the pack, or get left behind" If you've ever heard/read the "Left Behind" series then you know what that's about.
