I think The Misfits and MCR BOTH have great versions. However I bet some of you just don't like MCR because they're overrated or something and they get too much attention. Overrated bands can still be good, it doesn't matter how many fans, untrue ot true. And MCR emo? No.

This song is the ultimate cure for a bad day/mood/whatever. I can't hear it and not start singing as loud as I can - about the extermination of the human race, hahahah. One of the few songs I will never get sick of hearing. Side note - I originally thought the line "this whole fucking place, well" was "this whole fucking wasteworld" and it wasn't until I read the lyrics here that I realized. I actually think my misheard lyrics worked better... oh well =D

MCR is a good band. You seriously have no fucking clue. You must judge by appearance you arrogant shit. well, obviously if you havn't even heard the cover.
IF anyone at all knows mcr, it's their fans. I am a fan, and here is what it's all about.
MCR get tired of bands stealing from their friends, becoming watered-down versions of them and getting rich off their ideas. MCR doesn't want a watered-down version of themselves, so they decide, fuck it, we're just going to sign with a major label, which I think was a wise/brave decision considering all the fuckers who automatically ditch a band once they do. MCR is good to their fans, are awesome live, and if you actually listen to their interviews they are putting up a postivie image/message, that is why they don't allow sluts, drugs, alchohol, etc in their videos. They use metaphors which alot of people mistake for being negative, which is bullshit. and who decided punk HAS to be underground? I thought a true punk doesn't give a shit and does whatever the fuck they want, there are no fucking limits or boundaries to punk, and MCR never called themselves that in the first place. "Arrogant?" they arn't in any form. mikeyhelikesit you must be some fucking old retard who's trying to seem all educated about music and shit, when you come off as being arrogant, like you're better than everyone because you think you know music history.
Danzig is cool and all, but the guy was a dumb shit sometimes.
MCR can do no wrong whatsoever. I just hate when people judge bands based on a few songs, a video, and how they look.

I cannot believe my eyes, they must be decieving me yet again. How can anyone even consider MCR even worthy of attempting to cover an icon of punk such as the misfits. MCR should learn to become more self-aware, stop ripping off massive contributors to the scene they happily make a mockery of. I haven't heard the cover nor will I ever, these sell-out artists whose ego now over-shadows their moderate talent have now made a sham of punk. The true punk artists understand that punk at its core is an underground scene, if you go pop, you have sold your artistic intergrity for popularity. And overall MCR arrogance is sickening, which is evident by their grandstanding videos and catering to the teenage audience. I will not ever consider them true artists, more like soulless actors who care not for the integrity of the music they make, only the profitablility, their only hope of redemtion is to commit suicide on stage as an act of repentance. And Danzig whether you like it or not was the heart and sould of the Misfits, they should have quit while they were ahead, take a page out of Led Zeppelins book.

You're all wrong- it's not about killing all humans, or My Chemical Romance doing a cover of it- it's about what we did to the Native Americans- rape their land, try to exterminate their entire race, and we did it all like a hoard of zombies... Probably ''astro''-zombies because our technology was so advanced, it would be like comparing an extraterrestrial race to humans.

Were they doing it for their own sadistic reasons, or for the life me and you can so comfortably live out now that they've taken care of that little Indian problem. Explaining the lyric, ''Who am I doing this for hey me or you?''
