This song is based on the 1968 horror movie "The Astro-Zombies", and I like the whole aspect of it "exterminating the whole human race". :D

glen Danzig was a fucking genius in the aspect that he mixed horror and horror movies with politics. This is based on the 1968 horror movie, but I think it is used as a metephor for what the motives of alot of people are, like "leaders" or "presidents" or "dictators", all the same, whatever you want to call it. I think he's saying "all i want to know" is why they do it??

I love the My Chemical Romance version, (btw heard Misfits version first befor u thought i was a trendy) but the Misfits version is classic, MCR pull it off well check it out

yah, mcr version for this sucks.... im not surprised, i think all theyr song sucks, but that's just my opinion, i just dont think theres a better voice for a misfits song but glen danzig, he's the only misfits singer that i like, cuz michael graves sucks, dont get me wrong, he sings ok, but, he didnt made a decent job with the misfits... and gerard??, i just dont like his voice and his band... oh, wait, imposting about misfits, not mcr, so.... well, this song foockin' rocks my world, the live version on the box set is my fav version of it, i havent seen the movie from the 60's "astro zombies", anyone knows how can i get to see it/buy it/etc..??? pls.... =^)

My Chemical bullshit is horrible. I wish they didn't cover it. I love the Misfits and I know for a fact they HATE My Chemical emo bullshit. Fuck MCR.

hmmm...what can i say...its awesome. Probably Danzig's best...Michale Graves still rules his ass.
I think a lot of the whole horror-punk thing partly comes from "The rocky Horror picture show". That would explain it. If the movie didnt influence them at all, i do believe they watched it at one point.

Relating to blenxgt69, I'm really surprised the Misfits didn't do a Rocky Horror-inspired song, or even a cover (probably best left to Jerry Only's "Project 1950" phase). But anywho, I love this song, and MCR did indeed butcher it. I think the only band to do decent Misfits covers are AFI, by a long, long shot.

I completely adore the thought of killing all humans, theyve screwed up the world so much. However it would be easier and quicker with some kinda virus than zombies. HUMAN SCUM SHOULD ALL DIE!!

The misfits version is good, but it's unorganized and sloppy.
MCR does Astro Zombies quite well.
If anyone here knows music, you know emo does not exist. I'm a huge fan of music, and I wouldn't even consider "emo" to be a genre. It's slang for scene kid style, I believe.
Ignorance towards this, displayed by so-called Misfits "fans" is truly pitiful.
Michale Graves was an awsome front for the Misfits, and I hate all this bullshit about how noone can replace Danzig and how the band went downhill. Don't get me wrong, Danzig is probably one of the most talented musicians, but I hate all these people trying to have cred by stating they know all this shit about them. Michale wasn't trying to replace Danzig, so obviously the music is going to change, and it didn't suck.
And I know for a fact the Misfits do not hate MCR.
Danzig actually dedicated a song to them.
Educate your-fucking-selves and get your shit straight.
MCR rules. They've loved Misfits since before all y'alls time
Most of you are scene kids yourselves, so fuck you
