Crazy how it feels tonight
Crazy how you make it all alright love
You crush me with the things you do
I do for you anything too
Sitting, smoking, feeling high
In this moment it feels so right

Lovely lady
I am at your feet
God I want you so badly
I wonder this
Could tomorrow be
So wondrous as you there sleeping
Let's go drive 'til morning comes

Watch the sunrise
And fill our souls up
Drink some wine 'til we get drunk
It's crazy I'm thinking
Just knowing that the world is round

Here I'm dancing on the ground
Am I right side up or upside down
Is this real or am I dreaming

Lovely lady
Let me drink you please
I won't spill a drop, I promise you
Lying under this spell you cast on me

Each moment
The more I love you
Crush me
Come on
It's crazy I'm thinking

Just knowing that the world is round
Here I'm dancing on the ground
Am I right side up or upside down
Is it real or am I dreaming
Lovely lady I will treat you sweetly

Adore you
I mean
You crush me
It's times like these
When my faith I feel
And I know
How I love you
Come on, come on
Lady

It's crazy I'm thinking
Just as long as you're around
And here I'll be dancing on the ground
Am I right side up or upside down
To each other we'll be facing
By love we'll beat back the pain

We've found
You know
I mean to tell you all the things
I've been thinking deep inside my friend
With each moment the more I love you
Crush me
Come on
Lady

So much you have given love
That I would give you back
Again and again
Meaning I'll hold you
But please, please
Let me always

Shakespeare said: "Shall I compare you to a summer's day?" Dave Matthews said: "Could tomorrow be so wondrous as you there sleeping?" Which one's better? Laugh if you will, but I say it's a tough call, and honestly, I'm more inclined to go with Dave. Because if Dave Matthews is not a poet, I dunno who is. No one writes about love the way he does, and this song is definitely a testament to that. If you can listen to this song and not want to be desperately in love, your heart must be made of steel. This song just FLOORS me every time I hear it. Unfortunately, I have never heard it in live performance, but then again, who knows...it might just be too much for me to handle.

I love this song! This is one of those songs that actually makes you feel something. Especially if you have someone in your life, you listen to the words and think 'Oh my gosh, I so know what he's feeling' and it feels good.

Oh yeah... definately one of Dave's best songs... Captures his emotions perfectly... and the long instrumental ending just adds to it...

what can ya say, Dave at his best. I do feel that alot of Dave's song sound soooo much more meaningful, when he does them acoustic.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
