  General Comment:I won't comment on what I think the meaning of the song to be. It's rather vague and as such could be interpreted in a number of ways.
  
  Even so, I love this song. The lyrics are nice, sure, but more impressive (and why I find myself playing it often) is how beautifully chorded this song is. The arrangement of 'Crush' is perfect. It's such an aesthetically pleasing song. Arguably the (musically) best of Dave Matthews Band's catalog.

  General Comment:Personally, I believe the song is about a drink. Dave is personifying (giving human characteristics) a alcholic beverage. He loves to drink bourbon and probably wrote the song about it. Think about it. What do you usually do when youre drinking? Sitting, smoking, feeling high? Am I right side up or upside down? Let me drink you, please..won't spill a drop, I promise you. Spell your cast on me - buzzing. I love Dave Matthews Band. They will be my all time favorite group

  General Comment:Love this song, he's such a lover and you can tell by the way he writes, sings, moves EVERYTHING. Makes me so jealous of his wife. Love the way that you can tell he writes these songs for her, she is obivously a great muse!

  General Comment:I was busting out all my older DMB cd's these past few days getting ready for the show in PHX on May 6th. This song to me is about crushing hard on a girl. I have a huge crush on a girl right now and it sucks not knowing how she feels. I kind of feel like that is what he is saying in this song. I actually asked her to go to the concert with me and if she can get her shift covered she is in. It would be wonderful to take her with me to my favorite artist of all-time. This girl is amazing and I can't get her out of my head. Like the lyric says,
  
  "Lovely lady, I am at your feet,
  Oh, God, I want you so badly.
  And I wonder this:
  Could tomorrow be so wonderous
  As you lay sleeping?"
  
  I do want her badly and it's killing me inside. I almost wonder if it would be better to just not go after her and wonder what it than to get a rejection... She is amazing! She is my "crush".

  General Comment:am i the only one that things this song is about "CRUSH" weed? and thoughts when your high? yes i understand his thoughts about loving a woman but.. what CRUSH is.. is a type of weed? am i WAAY OFF?
