Dear Tiffany,

You've made me nauseous for the last time
Everything I've said to you
I will form into a spike (to drive through my throat)
In order to stop my words
This time I'll put them in the ground
Along with my memories and my feelings
I'll burn it down and walk away
Let the fire warm my back
I wish you would say you hate me
It would make it so much easier
Burn it down and walk away

Love, Daniel

General Comment:Daniel is pretty stinkin creative and real in the lyrics. This song reminds me of how i felt when i went through a bad relationship. I choose to take the "let the fire warm my back" part as tossing the relationship and all the crap that went with it in the ground and letting it burn into the past as my back gathers heat.

    Fantastic song.

General Comment:beverley55, Zao is Greek for "alive" and I think in certain connotations it can mean "spiritually alive". So there you go, try looking stuff up before you criticize.
Yeah, this song is pretty much amazing. It is fun to play on guitar and drums. BTW, if anyone has figured out the solo or has made a good improv solo for it you should tab it out and send it to me. jeomdahl@hotmail.com. i don't know enough about guitar to improv solo :(
Oh and as for the people coming in here hating on Zao. If you hate them so much, why are you even looking at their lyrics? Why are you commenting? What the heck is wrong with you people? God bless. Metal forever \m/\m/

General Comment:Okay, I just read CitiLovr and ThirdZero's posts

"I think others will agree that its fun to talk and debate about religion. I LOVE it. I really do. If I offend anyone w/my comments i'm truly sorry, that's not my intention. I can only say what I think is true, but no one really knows half the time, including me. Alright, peace out."

    So yeah. My bad.

Personally I do not agree with any version of 'God' I've ever heard of, and mainly have a beef with Christianity (sorry guys). If God is omnipotent and totally mind blowingly amazing, why should he conform to our puny views of morality? I don't believe in the existance of any formal god, yet I don't deny the fact that He may exist.

General Comment:Hahaha, wtf? Since when did a site about the meanings behind songs become a place for theological debate? Who fucking caers if Zao are christian or not, they sound fucking good. If you don't like this band soley on the fact that they are christian, you're a bit of a loser, to put it lightly. And no one cares what religion you are, well at least I don't.

But yeah, this song is fucking mad, I love it. The way it's set out as a letter is pretty cool.

General Comment:"the Christian God and Allah are the same god"

Except that not. I am a Pentecostal Christian. Did you know that your precious Allah is an ungod? Unholy little thing. You see, "the Christian god" is Jesus Christ. The man who's known to have sacrificed himself for our sins.
His mercy gave you all your life.

You see, someone trustworthy, who has read parts of the Koran, has said that there's a sentence "A muslim can kill AN INFIDEL, who is not willing to turn to Allah".

The Bible says "Do not kill." Do. Not. Kill. Period. Not if, not or, not doo-dah. Just "DO NOT KILL". No exceptions. Koran has these. So you're saying, that Koran that has exceptions, is the same word as Bible, that was powered by The Holy Spirit, that has no exceptions? No way. Not a single way.

Back to the topic: This song is like a semi-bitter end to a relationship, which Daniel wants to forget.

General Comment:Gretz > Peck. Except Gretz looks like a stoner or something. xD

This song reminds of the time I dated this one girl. Except it was closer to five months rather than five years.
