Roots Bloody Roots [Repeat: x3]
Roots Bloody

I believe in our fate
We don't need to fake
It's all we want to be
Watch me Freak!

I say
We're growing every day
Getting stronger in every way
I'll take you to a place
Where we shall find our

Roots Bloody Roots [Repeat: x4]

Rain bring me the strength
Is breeding me this way
To get to another day
And all I want to see
Set Us free

Why can't you see
Can't you feel
This is real

I pray we don't need to change
Our ways to be saved
That all we want to be
Watch us Freak!

General Comment:The song is about knowing ourselves, our origins, blood, culture, and individuality, and being true to it. Posers, followers, or sellouts would likely never understand, so I guess that includes the majority of society. Never heard Pavarotti's, but prob be an interesting rendition. Actually heard Throwdown do this one on "Sounds of the Underground" tour as a tribute for Dimebag Darrell. Sepultura shoulda changed their name when Max left, but Cavaleira Conspiracy sure brings back memories of better days. Max is a bad MF who has made some brilliant contributions to music in the past 20+ years, and Iggor made me wanna start playing some real drums, not the "Lars" style.

General Comment:Darken Rahl is a stoopid fag this song has nothing to do with being gay it is about who you really are and not caring what others think.

    General Comment:THIS SONG ROCKS!!

I remember when I first discovered that I was gay I would listen to this song knowing that others, like Sepultura had been through what I had been through. This song gave me the courage to come out.
I love it when they play this live. It always excites me so much, I get so hard!

Anyway, onto the meaning of the song.

    "Roots Bloody Roots
    Roots Bloody Roots
    Roots Bloody Roots
    Roots Bloody Roooaaaaaahh"

This is at the heart of every gay man's desires. Bloody roots, brutal fucking that results in your partner's anus starting to bleed as you roar in passion! FUCK YEAH!

    "I
    Believe In Our Fate
    We Don't Need To Fake
    It's All We Wanna Be
    Watch Me Freeeaaak !!"

Here we see the question of whether being gay is a choice answered when we are told that it is "fate". We can't change it, there's no need to fake, we should just be proud whenever we wanna get our homosexual, anal-rampaging freak on!

    "I Say
    We're Growing Every Day
    Getting Stronger In Every Way"

These lines refer to the gay community getting bigger and stronger. The more accepted it becomes and the more people that are coming out of the closet then the bigger and stronger we become!

"I'll Take You To A Place
    Where We Shall Find Our

    Roots Bloody Roots
    Roots Bloody Roots
    Roots Bloody Roots
    Roots Bloody Roots"

These lyrics discuss being taken to a place, (usually a public toilet) where we can have bloody passionate roots!

    "Rain
    Bring Me The Strength
    Is Breeding Me This Way
    To Get To Another Day
And All I Want To See
    Set Us Free"

Here the band are asking for strength and courage to face another day as gay men in a world full of prejudice.
It also mentions being bred this way, being bred gay.

    "Why
    Can't You See
    Can't You Feel
    This Is Real
    Ahhh"

Here we see the band asking for acceptance from the straight community. Telling us that being gay is just the same, just as real; as being straight.

    "I Pray
    We Don't Need To Change
    Our Ways To Be Saved
    That All We Wanna Be
    Watch Us Freak"

Again Sepultura prays for acceptance and tells us not to change, not to act straight or hide who we are, we will be saved anyway. Watch us be proud gay men! Watch us get our anal freak on!

Fuck all the haters saying this song sucks!
