i bet this song is about the time josh was in the boy scouts and he had to stand in front of his whole troop & scout leader and tie a square knot to secure his rope handling merit badge, but then he blew it and tied a clove hitch by mistake and everyone laughed at him until he cried and now he wants to kill himself. :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

I don`t know man, but I am suicidal, and I am going to kill myself with Magnum 357. Sure thing, quick and without any pain, but my head will be scattered all over the wall. Anyway, I think it's moreabout subliminal messaging. How it influences people, and infiltrates their minds without them knowing, and eventually people just become robots because of these messages in their heads.

IMO its about suicide but maybe caused by lifes shit moments and brought on by drugs...hmmm..and the line about the wrist...depression maybe...suicide is the way out?

It seems to me this song is about one having suicidal thoughts despite being "alright;" not bad, not good, but alright. Drugs probably have fueled these suicidal tendencies.

I was thinking it's maybe about some kind of addicton, drugs for example. And when the person is high he's/she's alright but the addiction has gone so far that he/she has to be under the influence all the time. The real world is not enough, it's only the drug-influenced world that matters. And that puts such a big pressure on the person that he/she can't take it anymore.

But i don't know. I might be ridiciously wrong. I probably am. It may be too easy to be true. It's probably some sort of disguise. Josh is trying to fool us.

I rather think it´s Josh´s opinion about suicide in general that there is no real reason for suicidal actions and everybody who does deserves nothing less than hell. And wasting all your chances (life) is simply retarded. "devils and ropes around your neck..."
