I listened to this song on the drive home from this past New Years Eve. I was in my car but my friend was driving because I was quite drunk. The song was more than fitting for my situation.

All drugs man....there's really no other way of putting it i dont think. Auto pilot - meaning that you have no control any more, and when your tripping or stoned, the drugs (autopilot) takes control.

Hmmmm...I love this song...chilling and dark..I think its about drugs and anyway the booklet in the Rated R album tells you what the songs are based on e.g drugs, sex, visions...

Rated R-Strip club?! Where did you hear that...I didn't think it was that..
Song for the deaf-Definitely a car radio...pretty sure based out in the deserts.
Lullabies to paralyze-A fairy tale based in the woods etc.
Queens of the stone age-Could it be set in Space? The walkies talkie radio communications and the beeping noises and static....

Definently about drugs and sex (mostly from the middle of the song). I also think that undertone of the song just conveys the feeling that his life is on auto pilot and he doesn't know what's going on anymore and nothing is how it should be. Fav Q.O.T.S.A. song right before Broken Box.
