Comrades bond, this day will be long
Don't blame your losses, gain what he gave
Cause we blame him for having right
Anyone lose a God, cause I found a God
Raise the question that's given here
Ponder his answer, he's bleeding clean

And the rhyme you've hidden in
Won't keep long
And we blame him for having right
Anyone lose a God

Reasons I ask you'll know why
As sure as I'm here you'll know why
But he won't leave me out in the cold
See how the sparrows get fed from our Lord

Draw-Close
Raise the question that's given here
Ponder his answer, you're bleeding clean
And the rhyme you've hidden in

Won't keep long
Long
We don't keep oh nothing else
You won't like
You hold me close

General Comment:I think it is kind of saying he does beleive in god and everything he is tired of people blaming religion for their suffering because religion also leads to their happiness. Thats what I get from it i mean i am not a huge christian but I still am one even though it isn't as important to me as some other things. Awesome song though cool acoustic parts.

General Comment:Hit the bottom and separate spiritually from the self. God is not lost here but found. Find God in despair. Closer but further accepting crust to eat. The pull of the soul back to God drags you along. And we look for someone to blame for the the misery. God wont leave us alone in the cold but will give us a place all our own.

General Comment:there is no such thing as "anti-god" music. only a few ignorant religious pieces of crap dredged that bullshit up.

General Comment:just a question... if this is about welcoming religion and goes out to people who listen to 'anti-God" music... then what is skeptic about?

General Comment:Great song! This is one of the only Chevelle songs that is openly christian. My favorite part of the song is "And the rhyme you've hidden in, wont keep long" Hardly any if not all of Chevelle's songs don't really rhyme. I think this song is a message to anyone who listens to 'anti-God' music.
