Nowhere is untouched by shame, who said we could get by with our childhood games
Days of innocence are all long gone avoid the shock honey and try to live on
Woke up all paralysed all dreams corrupted in front of our eyes
cause on every forehead of every little whore there is a sign that says:
Baby dont come back no more

Distasteful ugly and cheap
That is how you make me feel
Capitalism stole my virginity

Robbed out of our bleeding hearts smashed our illusions tore them all apart
But now we are unsentimental and unafraid to destroy this culture that we hate
Tired of being nothing when we should be everything
And on every forehead of every little whore there is a sign that says:
Baby we are all born to die

Distasteful ugly and cheap
That is how you make me feel
Capitalism stole my virginity

We are all sluts, cheap products in someone else's notebook

General Comment:uhh yeah, they are against Bush ((as others have said)). if that wasn't already obvious based on their lyrics, they're on the "Rock Against Bush" compilation that was created in 2004 when he was up for re-election

General Comment:the title "Capitalism Stole my Virginity" could just be a polite way of saying "i was fucked by capitalism" or "capitalism fucked me", or whatever tense you want to put it in.

    "Distasteful ugly and cheap
That is how you make me feel"

this is probably just adressing the middle/lower classes. if you don't have mony, you're treated like shit.

"Robbed out of our bleeding hearts smashed our illusions tore them all apart"
this is a bit more remote, i think it's a referance to "the great american dream" of just being able to come to this 'great land of opportunity' and make it big if you've got heart and drive to work. everything's corporations now, so if you've got drive to work, you probably have enough common sense to tell what the hells going on. Corporations don't want people who will think, they want robots who'll do what there told, then go home in there SUV and watch Monday Night Football.

"But now we are unsentimental and unafraid to destroy this culture that we hate"
commercials and shit used to use catchy add jingles, or sentimental images to sell a prodouct. the military used to use patriotism to get people to join for nothing. then we had hippies and punks who started this whole "fuck the establishment" movement(i know hippies didn't do it that violently, but the spirit was revolving around the same idea). being unafraid, of the military, and of concequence for change, and being unsentimental towards these warped 'family value' messages that the government is trying to brand your mind with. family values aren't "loving republicans because your dad does" family values are "loving your dad because he's your dad"

"And on every forehead of every little whore there is a sign that says: Baby we're all born to die."
this is just another referance to military draftees and volunteers.(i think anyway) or maybe just anyone following a trend or mass movement that was devised by something in pop culture.

"We are all sluts, cheap products in someone else's notebook "
    Two words: MARKET RESEARCH
    Two more words: TARGET DEMOGRAPHIC

General Comment:I can't imagine how anyone figured t(i)nc is a "marxist band". They're borrow heavily from situationist ideas however. For example, Survival Sickness is the title of a chapter in the book "The Revolution of Everyday Life" by Raoul Vaneigem who is a former member the situationist international. Search for bigger cages, longer chains by larry law, abolish work by bob black, or Black Mask and Up Against the Wall Motherfuckers, etc. bopsecrets.org would be a decent place to check out if you want to get an understanding of what
t(i)nc is talking about, beyond this stupid anybody but Bush acting as a panacea bullshit.

Anyway I would like to say that I can't believe the fact that they play the warped tour or MTV. Talk about reccuperation. Eat up the shit, kiddies.

General Comment:I agree with UnseenOp, Dennis is definately against Bush...he even expressed his disdain at a recent concert by stating the decisions this country makes effect the rest of the world, and if we re-elect Bush then we deserve our troubles (he also said some expletive or something like that. By the way, I didn't think that a band like T(I)NC would attract young republicans.

General Comment:Who cares if they're marxist or communist? They're anti-capitalist, that's the important point. They're for revolution, but they don't really make a clear statement of what should replace it. I guess they for an anachist revolution, not necessarily driven by a specific metanarrative or ideology.

General Comment:prostituting our souls, maybe. we're born into capitalism... therefore we're just born to die. no one is really living when you think about it. rarely do we have spontaneous bursts of wanting to do something really radical. work. consume. work. consume. but that's all explained by lots of books. pick one up.

seen them three times. fucking amazing singing and dancing with dennis...
