I didn't really like this one as much as the rest of the stuff of theirs I've heard tonight. (I've been downloading for a preview) constantly. I want to get the CD. I think it's because I miss GOD in this song. Their IS nothing anti-Christian about writing for an earthly love, I just think their songs focused on God have more emotion. GREAT band nonetheless, recommended for kids of all ages.

Well, I went to a private concert of their and Ben and Amy explained this song. They said it's a made up story about a wife who loved her husband veyr much, but he died suddenly. She's so torn apart by grief that she goes to the graveyard and digs him up and takes him home with her. (That's the first verse.) And then she's happy with him and doesn't see anything wrong with it. Creepy but neat kinda like an Edgar Allen Poe story. Beautiful song, tho. Amy's voice is amazing! I love Evanescence! haha (Never woulda guessed from my user name, would ya?)

Although the lyrics are a bit twisted, I think this song is amazing. The overall mood is just so beautiful and haunting. It's one of my favorites.

Am I right in thinking that the subtle sample right at the very end of the song, is taken directly from the film 'The Crow'?

The "People die, but real love if forever" line at the very end, is the same line that closes 'The Crow' and the stories bear a similarity. Even in death love does go on.

I think amy said it was inspired by some old horror movie.... great song. And umm, 'MusicGeek2' they only have 1 song thats really about God, yes, they do have christian backgrounds and influences, but they are not a christian band and they do not sing about god or christianity.

the first time I heard this song I was kinda creeped out, but the more I listen to it I think any one can relate. When some one you love dies it feels like you could do anything to be with them again

At first I thought (correctly, as it just so happened) that it was about somebody whose loved one has died and she thinks he's still alive and they're together...I didn't realize she actually dug him up until Evanescencechic4eva said so, but it makes sense.

This song is very twisted, that's why I love it.

I lost a very close friend of mine about 6 months ago. A few days after his death I kept listening to this song...i was drawn to it. I now realize that I had been falling for him . I won't get into all the messy details of our relationship....but I miss him. I always will. I'd also like to add that my boyfriend had been there for me during this time and I love him so much. I would have broken without him.

Well, my father died and I swear for like a week I wouldnt eat, sleep, or do anything but sing this song in his room. I blamed myself, and begged that he was cremated so I could talk to him. So. Evanescence rox. Evanescence forever.

*sigh* This is probably one of my favorite Evanescence songs ever. I think the only reason I haven't commented on it before is that everything has already been said. You guys have the right idea, there's no insane debate going on, so 'sall good. Nothing much to say, no story to relate =).
