Where it grows on trees
But never blooms
Where it hurts the least for whoever
Saw it first

First to go and the last to know

Last longer than a lifetime
Takes the least amount of effort
Feels better than a bargain
Just to know it's there

First to go and the last to know

Can't you see
There's always one me
And that me is me

I know where but I cannot share
You'll call me - I'll stand in line till then
I'll be waiting

Can't you see
All circuits are busy
Please try back again

General Comment:I love this song, it is very underated in my eyes, the whole album is, but I think this song is about lost love and a possible betrayl with "First to go and the last to know" and the other person failing to see who that person really is with "Can't you see, there's only one me and that me is me"

Guitar solos, amazing, Vocals spectacular, !!!!!

General Comment:Amazing song with amazing lyrics. The guitar solo and singing are all gold :)
    My interpretations are below:

"Where it grows on trees, but never blooms"

'Love' is all around, but rarely lasts or turns into something lasting. Lots of relationships, few end up surviving over time.

"Where it hurts the least for whoever saw it first"

Whoever first realizes a relationship is not going to work has time to think and come to terms with it before actually making the move to break up. Without proper communication, the other person is often left in the dark while the first contemplates and then initiates the breakup.

"First to go and the last to know"

First to go refers to being dumped. Last to know means he was the last to see it coming and was blind-sided by it.

    "Lasts longer than a lifetime
Takes the least amount of effort
    Feels better than a bargain
    Just to know it's there"

Referring to true love or perhaps the love that is idealized in our minds. Sometimes it is this easy, oftentimes it is not. Love lasts forever (or perhaps the narrator's does), is easy to do (or perhaps showing frustration over what went wrong), and can comfort someone just knowing that they are loved.

    "Can't you see
    There's only one me
    And that me is me"

In relationships / breakups lots of times a person is accused of changing, or no longer being the person the other thought they were. Here he pleads that he is still the same person, and by definition could never be otherwise.

"I know where, but I cannot share"

The person who initiates the breakup is inevitably missed horribly by the person blind-sided by the breakup. The dumped person needs emotional comfort and wishes he/she could see the other person, but they are gone, doing who knows what, moving on with their life, while the other has to begin the process of accepting what has happened. The shock of being apart and not doing everything together. This is spoken from the person who initiated the break up.

"You'll call me, I'll stand in line til then. I'll be waiting."

Back to the perspective of the person who was dumped. He/she is convinced the other person will eventually come to their senses and return. The narrator expresses devotion to "wait in line" for the person rather than pursuing other people.

"Can't you see, all circuits are busy. Please try back again."

The response to the last line, showing that the person is uninterested in returning and that the breakup is final. Won't pick up or return calls, in a figurative or perhaps even literal sense.

General Comment:I love this song, i think its about lost love and being with the right person but its the wrong timing
maybe a betrayal "First to go and the last to know" and also a breakdown in communication in the relationship and high expectations of one person, as in "Cant you see, there is only one me, and that me is me" but its a very personal song and very relatable to anyone who has been in that situation
