General Comment:I always thought it was a young bloke saying "pretty good" and another saying "yeah" either Richard or another young guy, I saw it as a song about how Richard is making this amazing music and people are unenthusiasticly complimenting it, but it doesn't get him down as the happy atmosphere of song suggests; maybe that's just me.

General Comment:I don't think it's a woman either. The only audible words are "Richard, Yeah". It shouldn't be assumed that the "richard" part was a question like "where are you" or a command like "come over here" (for tea?) I agree with what mozza_fan said, maybe in the UK tea time is 4 or something like that, but you're reading a lot into just a song title. Maybe in the the tempo there was a 4, I've never checked, don't care to. Maybe their were 4 different synths used for a section, maybe it was 4 when he made it, but going with the tea thing just because you think its a woman is pulling off a hell of a lot.

General Comment:The little 'Richard, yup' bit I always thought acted as a sort of little reminder to himself to bring the song back to its basis. If you notice, it comes in right when the tune's drifting away from the beat and main melody and it's acts as a little reminder not to get too carried away and ambient! Richard, yeah? And that amazing energetic beat kicks back in. I don't think it's his mum, it sounds like a man's voice, it's probably just random sampling from his studio tapes or something.

    General Comment:It's ABOUT tea-time.

Teatime's four o'clock, where the world stops and has a spot and some nibbles (or, in my case, a Mountain Dew).

But it's also about the philosophy behind it, if you could call it as much. It's a time for reflection. Spending time with your family. Having a dekko at the world and it's workings and being able to see the beautiful (represented in this piece by violin-like sounds and soft synth-tweaking), along with the grotesque (represented by wicked snares and bass), and it all just seems to make sense and work in some kind of harmony.

General Comment:The drum machine may as well be counted as vocals the way he uses it.

General Comment:just because there are only two words doesn't mean they aren't lyrics :P
I was surprised to find that there was even and Aphex Twin section on this site (because I initially thought this site was for analyzing lyrics)
